It is all going to depend on what the felony was for. There are a lot of employers out there that are willing to give someone a second chance. Here in California, you are able to be bonded through the Employment Department one time for free if an employer requests it. This is almost like an insurance on you so that if you were to steal from them or whatever, they would be able to collect from the bond. I'm not sure about other states, you would have to check with your Employment Department.
Some employers feel that felons can be good to hire because most are really not wanting to go back to jail/prison and so are very unlikely to do something at their new job to cause problems.
Don't get discouraged, just be upfront and honest and a great job will come along.
GOOD LUCK!!

An employer is more likely to hire someone with out a felony when it comes to almost all office jobs... Your best bet is something in fast food or general labor work they usually don't do back ground checks....

Well, most all employers ask if you have ever been convicted of a felony. If the answer is yes, they don't hire you.

Well, they certainly don't help! There are some jobs you will not be eligible for.
