You can't dye it again. YOU CANNOT LIGHTEN COLORED HAIR WITH MORE HAIRCOLOR. Color can't lift color, only bleach or a salon corrector can lift dyes. So trying to put a lighter dye on there won't work.
You'll have to strip the color out or bleach it (very bad). Try the color stripper first - go to Sally's and buy SalonCare Color Corrector. I've used it many times to strip out black permanent dye, and since your color is fresh, it'll be MUCH more likely to come completely out. After you use the color corrector, immediately color it back (preferably to your natural color since you've got prom in a few days). If you need some help, I'll explain it to you a little better - can message me at enigmatic_reverie @ yahoo or blacknessofsleep @ aim.

If ur putting color ON color, then you're safe... 2 days is good enough to wait... and in between all the colors, u should come out to something you can live with til it tones down some. Its ok, dont freak out!! It will work out! PS, i wouldnt use a permanent for now, I would use the wash out in 6-8 washes for now, til it tones down. When u have time, go to a professional and let them color, foil and blend the layers with colors so that its more trendy and natural!!

I would think you need to get it stripped before you put anything on it besides if its that black nothing else will go over it. If i was you id go into a salon and ask them how they can fix it and just spend the extra letting them do it...cause you dont want to end up with no hair on prom!!

I think it would be Ok if you use a hair dye with no ammonia in it. Try Herbal Essances, they have a natural one.
And always use shampoo and conditioner for color-treated hair!!
Have fun and good luck on your big day! I am sure you will be beautiful!

yikes, go to a salon and see if they can strip the color off, and redye it, otherwise try to redye tomorrow, using a permanent because if it rains a semipermanent may bleed onto your dress. I suggest professionals

i wouldnt recommend it you will over process your hair. i did that same thing and i now have quarter size bald spot in the top of my head and im trying to deal with it. i dyed my hair back to back. but maybe go to a salon and see if they can give you a rinse that wont hurt your hair or something.

LMAO
You never try something new with your hair just before an important event.
Has no one learned that lesson yet?????
You did yourself, go see a hair dresser.
