Some say it is because it is a sign of a woman who has high regards for herself... some men are afraid frumpy women are too timid and don't care about theirselves...
also, some men are just pigs and like trophy wives..by the way, those are the guys that will complain about their gals later and call them shallow... and sure enough, everyone will agree with them... women just can't win...
Some high maitenance women get throwed to the wolves if they gain one pound... etc... they can often lead dark suffrocating lives... no matter how impeccable and sharp they seem in public... and of course, some of those women are just BRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear lord I have no idea, but I'm definitely interested in this as well. The only thing I can think of is that guys recognize girls that put more time and effort into how they look. For some reason that elicits some kind of merit, although I've heard guys complain about that as well. I have no idea.

Like anything in life. It depends on the individual guy. A lot more guys that you thin are looking for low-maintainance women. We look at you as godsends. You just got to get out there and keep looking.

i dont go for high maintainance girls. id much rather have a girl who was laid back and cool like you said. high maintainance girls are not worth the trouble.
