Or are we all just gonna eat shiit one day and that be it?

Cause face it, this world has seen better times (maybe a brief period during the dark ages) and now it's been used like a dirty whore and only gettin worse... I don't have any statistical facts for you but it's obvios that world peace is an unconcievable idea and that people would much rather kill each other than help out. So do you think we're gonna be ok? cos i have my doubts.

It only takes one idiot to destroy it all. My guess is that one day it will happen.

The Dark Ages and the Middle Ages are killing us, now!

What is this Christianity/Islam thing, anyway? Most of the stories are the same. Islam protected Christians, of the old Testament. Unfortunately, most Christians live by the new testament. Maybe it would be different if we didn't eat pork, observed the old testament, and stoned one another!

If you really want to get down to it, the Goran/Koran (spell it as you like), is an awful lot like the old Testament. It was written when women were professors and Persia was "light-years" ahead of Anglos.

Within 200 years, women were chattel and plumbing was a thing of the past. What possesses civilizations to "turn back time"?

Wow, aren't you the optimist!

Yes, I do have much hope for humanity. I think we as a species will continue to not only exist, but to thrive. Regardless of the day-to-day struggles and conflicts and injustices in the world, humanity on the large scale has made impressive strides toward a good, just, and fair society. Once the rule of countries was at the whim of despots and their families, now most countries elect their leaders. Once genocide was a common tactic, now it is bemoaned, shunned, protested, and even prevented by force of arms. Once slavery was common, now it is almost eradicated. Once women were chattel and second-class citizens, now in many countries they are the equals of men. Once the starving and suffering and afflicted were ignored, now mankind gives billions in anonymous charity.

Yes. It is just a question of time before we all learned not to be fooled anymore by evil. This will be the turning point, when the human mind unmasks the face of evil, and therefore can no longer be subject to it.

"Are we gonna be OK?" Well, that entirely depends upon your definition of "OK".

God's definition of "OK" would probably be "Humans being reconciled to Him". With that being the case, Yes. Some of us will be OK, and that includes anybody who wants it - Jesus came as a savior, offered to all people. Some will reject Him, and won't be OK.

If you understand "OK" to mean the lack of wars, and all religions either cease to be or else just get along, then you are correct - we're not gonna be OK.

we haven't seen "better times" in the past, people used to be lucky to live till 40, there was no health care, no plumbing, no fresh water, no refrigeration, we are at the best time in human history, right now, no one even recognized that human beings had basic rights until the last few hundred years

We just got to stay positive and keep the peace. Stop being so selfish and love each other then will be ok. We can't lose the hope.

Only if humanity finally pulls it's collective head out of it's backside and puts religion where it belongs; on the ash-heap of history.
Then we'll be ok. Otherwise, we're utterly screwed. We must go forward and religion always goes backwards.

Humans have never lived in better times than today. If you think that all people would rather kill you than help you, perhaps it is an element of your own personality that is in question.

There's always hope. The hope lies with the younger generation. If they are taught well, they can be inspired to help this world. I believe this world can be a better place if we could just help and respect eachother.
