Rice is good for a dog with digestive upset (vomiting, diarrhea) and in fact is recommended you feed them that for a couple of days, gradually re-introducing their regular food.
However white rice does not have a whole lot of nutritional value and should not be used as a steady diet, or to stretch dog food on a regular basis. Most dog foods already contain grain; mixing with rice means your dog may feel full but is not receiving adequate nutrition. You're changing the balance of protein, grain, veggies, etc. Do you feel adequately qualified as a canine nutritionist to do so?
But if say you were out of kibble it would help tide you over until the next day.

Rice is a filler and provides no nutritional value for the dog. It only causes the dog to defecate more frequently. I wouldn't suggest you feed your dog rice at all. Stick to a highly digestible dry food with a meat product as the first ingredient. The dry food helps scrape off plaque and tartar and strengthens gums to prevent peridontis disease.

That's fine. When I was younger and my dog would get sick, the vet told us to brown hamburger and feed it to her with boiled white rice. If your dog likes it, its fine. Brown rice might be better for him, I think its more expensive if money is an issue.

White rice is not good for anyone who needs nutrition. It is carbs only. Brown rice at least has the bran with it for vitamins.

I don't know why not. A lot of good dry dog foods have rice in them. Brown rice would probably be better because it has more nutrients (vitamins and minerals) in it.

I am not sure about this question. But just wanted to say that my brother gave his Boxers milkshakes. One every other day or so. It kept their coats nice and shiny. Vet told him that this was fine and was the best coats on Boxers he has ever seen.
