I'm no longer religious, I believe in God, but I don't believe there is one true religion. I believe God created the universe and if you pray to him and seek God's guidance God will help, if God seems fit to. I believe religions had good intent, but it has failed and has created a world of war and hate. It's good to have good morals but to believe in story's written by men with their own political agenda, is ignorance.

At first I inherited it when I was a kid and didn't know any better, but then people managed to convert me. Then I realized organized religion is a waste of time, only uneducated people believe it, and atheism/agnosticism is the way to go. So that would mean that I fit the first category.

I found my religion. I was an atheist/didn't care until I realized something was missing in my life. I researched all of the major world religions (like the top 10) and found only one that made true sense and filled the emptiness in my life.

Christianity

I was introduced to Christianity by my Granny so I guess you can say I inherited my religion which is a good thing, but eventually I would have found it...smile

I was raised by Muslim parents but they did not concentrate on teaching me about my Religion.

I ended up getting strange beliefs from the tv.

alHamdu lillaah those days are gone. When I say I believe in God, I do not liken Him to the creations or imagine Him. I found good people to teach me true Islam and to stay away from extremist ideas.

This is from one of their chants: "I'll tell you what's my vision, and what's my noble goal; it's teaching true Religion and to give advice to all".

In the beginning, I inherited my religion (Islam), and as most muslims in my country, I was also a sunni.
But then I searched and seek, and I think I'm not a sunni anymore. I'm just a mere muslim who have no denomination, insha Allah.

my religion found me. i was born and raised to follow a certian religion. then i went and foun my religion. just because i was raised into a certian religion it did not make it right. i researched my religion, i compared it to everyother relgion. i chose islam. ppl say it is a hard and strict religion. if u want to compare it to all the religions that virtually allow many things, and that are always changing as society moves on.
i looked at the sense and morals. i looked at the reason.

On the contrary, He found me :)
I was raised unchurched, but was influenced to believe...God is real, miracles are real and to behave(respect authority). Not that the later sunk in completely in all circumstances, it was and still is a growing process.
Coming to myself, I cried out to the Lord one night, "God, who are You?" He answered, in that a few months later I was taking a technical course at a college and my teacher began teaching me the bible whenever we had the time. Soon I was brought to a church and heard the gospel preached well. The passion of Christ's sufferings pierced my very soul, and I recieved Him immediately. The road has been quite rough at times, with many joys as well. And He has endured me through many difficulties. He shows me that He is alive and very active in me as well. He holds me up, by His Holy Spirit. I can only hope for others that they find all what I have in Jesus, even moreso, amen.

I have searched but found none.
When I went into a life crisis, I came to know the Lord through a close friend.

I guess you could say I inherited my religion, but around the age of 12, it became my own. My faith became something that belonged to me and not just my parents.
