all that matters is that you keep your heart rate up for a constant amount of time 30-60 mins. Whatever gets your heartrate up to a level where you can keep it at for this amount of time will work. The higher your heartrate goes the closer it gets to your maximum heartrate which will cause you to tire faster. You will be burning more calories but for only a short period of time. The zone you want to keep it at depends on your age. The amount of stress to get it there depends on how much in shape you are. An out of shape person can get their heartrate up to say about 140 beats per minute just by walking. A person in really good shape might actually have carry a weight while running to get their heartrate up. I would suggest doing some research on a suggested heartrate for your age. A simple way is to take 220 - your age = Maximum heart rate. Then take anywhere from 65 to 85 percent of that total and use that as your target. 75 percent of your maximum heart rate is usually a good place to start.

interval training burns fat, this style of training keeps your heart rate in the proper zone condusive to fat loss.

Due to the constant rate of change, your body cannot adapt to the stimulus and thus burns more calories trying to stabilize, or achive homeostasis. Now implement moving weights or perfrom tasks such as pulling a sled, bounding, sprinting, and the fat burning qualities go through the roof.

With endurance training, your body generally adapts to the stimulus quickly and achieves status quo, think you get into a rythym and go on autopilot, this minimizes the amount of energy expended to keep the process going, think less calories expended. This is a form of self preservation mechanism that is built into the human body.

I too would think endurance running, but I 'm interested to hear the theories behind the proponents of interval running.

Water is a extensive key. this is no longer plenty working, it particularly is getting your coronary heart value up between one hundred twenty-a hundred thirty five bpm, and protecting it there for 20 minutes an afternoon. Now if working is your element, it particularly is large. Watch your liquid energy, milk, pop, juice. those are in no way solid. on your cramping, is it bowel cramping or legs? Hydration is a extensive roll in weight help and well-being.

You will possible loose weight either way. Interval is more effective. But the most effective way to loose weight is to eat smaller meals more often, 1500-2000cal/day. Don't overeat and don't starve yourself. Good luck.
