America was never a Christian country, contrary to popular belief. The founding fathers saw fit to specifically put restrictions on the establishment of a "state" religion.
And why would anyone want to fear the God they worship? That doesn't make sense to me.
The Gods and Goddesses that are a part of my faith are not "out there" somewhere, nor are they to be feared. They are my friends, my guides, revered Elders.
So I don't know where you get the idea that America was ever a strictly Christian country.

America has never been a god-fearing Christian nation. You should read your own Constitution and Bill of Rights and read some of the history of the early nation and its founders. It is now the most fundamentalist god-bothering so-called Christian nation it has ever been. Unfortunately, the fundamentalist so-called Christians are indistinguishable from the fundamentalist so-called Muslims.

Never..
First off much of the population is no longer Christian.

Second, the large majority of America that is Christian is becoming too worried about being politically correct to stand up for themselves and be heard. They are the "silent majority".

Third, because the christians are "silent", many people these days do not even know who they are, what they are about and then begin to look at christians as the outcasts which makes it even easier for others to strip away any sense of morals or values that we once held sacred.

The largest problem I see is there are no leaders today. Fanatics, yes.. Leaders no. People who give strength and pride without wanting a payoff. Someone who has a decided direction and is not afraid to be politically INCORRECT. I don't see it anyway.

The founding fathers of the constitution were deists, not christian. Your pastor or whoever is convincing you to believe in an abominable lie. One of the biggest fairy tales ever told!
Why do you think they separated religion and government?
If this was once a christian nation, wouldn't the founding fathers have made it so by enmeshing christianity and government?
If this is a christian nation, why doesn't the preamble to the constitution word this way.....
" we the christians, in otder to form a more perfect union..."
It doesn't say that.....it reads..." we the PEOPLE"

Sorry, but those days are long gone.

With immigration and the integration of multiple faiths, this country is no longer a nation with a population dominated by Christianity.

And it was never a "Christian Nation" to begin with.

America is already a God-fearing Christan nation. Look at the presidential candidates, all the candidates claim that Jesus is a bit part of their life. If you are wondering about the moral decline in America it isn't due to lack of religion.

The US was NEVER at any point, a Christian nation:

"the Government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian religion" <-- this is part of the Treaty of Tripoli, which was passed UNANIMOUSLY by Congress, okay? Take your false claims and shove 'em, 'cause those of us who know our history aren't buying your lies.

You history revisionists make me sick. Despicable liars.

Read the Word. We are a luke-warm nation living in the last days. Paul warned of this. Everyone claims salvation yet not to many hold to the tradition of true Christianity.

You can't be something that you once were if you never were that to begin with...

America has always been known for its outstanding religious diversity. There are literally thousands of religions in this country, and only one of them is Christianity.
