I've been 'involved" on and off with a guy for 21/2 years, but he would never fully committ to me. Three months ago, he met a woman and they have both fallen madly in love with eachother. He told me that he wants to marry her, and as far as I'm concerned, it's either friendship or nothing. I'm not sure which is worse. He's not going to make a very good husband because he has no money, no car, and is not a very good provider, so maybe I should settle for friendship, and I'll be better off in the end. What sucks though, is that I'm hopelessly in love with him. What should I do?

Try to magnify all his negative points. Jot them down on a sheet of paper. As many of them as you can think of. Do you have a place you can tape the list and no one else will see it but you?
Try to avoid him as much as possible. I don't think you should even settle for friendship. That would make me even more unhappy, knowing that I was only second fiddle........? Go to places where you know you'll meet new guys, [not bars or clubs]. Get busy building a new life for yourself that doesn't include him.

I think that you should just move on , and forget about him, find a man that is (SINGLE) and move on with life, respect yourself

Move on. You're wasting your time.
