Best answer I can give you not knowing your exercise routine is to do the same stretching movements you do prior to your workout. I trust you do stretch prior to exercising.

Without knowing what part of your body you worked out on I cant be specific. I will say to ease the stiffness I recommend going back to the gym and do the same exercises that you performed with little or no resistance and rep. it for 10 times. what this does is to stretch the same fiber without putting any resisted load on them. by stretching the muscles again it restores to some degree the soreness. Again I emphasize little or no resistance is required.

After your workout and stretching regimen (which you should do before AND after your session) it may also be helpful to soak in a tub of the hottest water you can stand and epsom salt. It helps take the lactic acid out of your body which causes that achy fatigued feeling post-workout.

Stretching is a bit overrated, it's more of a myth than a big difference. You're sore from working out, not because of not stretching.
