so me and my mom where having another one of our useless lecured talks and i told her to read a book on parenting and she told me to find a book about how to respect your parents or some crap like that. as if there really is a such book. =p. wtf. anyway, i went online and got her an article to read and she said she wouldnt read it until i find an article about how to be nicer to your parents because in her mind, "there should be one." and i was like, "mom there is no such thing because its not like im childrening you, your parenting me!" and her stubborn self was like "nooooo... there is one there has to be since there are articles about parenting." *sighhh* and i was like want a bet? and and she was like yes i want a bet. and now she went outside to smoke. somone please point me the in the right direction of this so-called how to be a better child to your parents book. WTFFFFFFFFFF.

How about starting with understanding?
Try to look at the situation from her point of view. Consider it an exercise for your brain. Don't shift the blame, cause it always takes two to tangle...
So if you are not helping with the situation, then it will continue to be this way. Aren't you tired of fighting?
Don't you see that it might be her, but it might be you too?!
Just for fun....

I remember the moment when my youngest daughter and I finally put aside the hostilities. She and I had been arguing before she went to school. She walked through the door and said. "I am sorry that we argued Mom. Can we talk about it?"
It was one of the most memorable moments in my life!
We went from adversaries to friends, trying to work things out
Huddy has got a great article for you to read....Read it...it is wonderful advice!.

There is a book out there that I think will help you called How To Live With Your Parents Without Losing Your Mind by Ken Davis. Type in Ken Davis in any search engine and you should be able to get to his web site.

Hope that does it for you. It was as close as I could find. Not really a book but an article, none the less.
I searched for books that have to do with respecting and understanding parents, but nothing came up, sorry.
"It's not like I'm childrening you!" lol, I find that hilarious for some odd reason.

I'm not sure about that but... I think you need to grow up a little and also learn some new adjectives.
1. Gay shouldn't be used as an adjective I mean come on, there are so many other non- offensive words
2. Respect your parents they care for you and pay for pretty much everything for you

there are a lot of books that tell us how to be better people to everyone. including parents. it may not say"how to be a better child" but, it's the same principle. actually, you should go to a borders or barnes and noble site. you'll probably find something. how hard is it to be nice? and by the way, this does not qualify as gay.

There IS a book on being nicer to your parents. It is called the Bible. It says to HONOR your mother and FATHER.It also says to OBEY them. As long as they arent asking you to do something to break the law or immoral you are to obey them. I think I know what the deal is. She wont let you see some stud.Believe it or not she IS a better judge of character than you because she sees people as they are instead of thru the eyes of lust and fantasy.

I hate to say it, but you do need help. My mom and I argue all the time, but I have to respect her. If it wasn't for your mom, you wouldn't be here..
