my sister went on some YAS summer program where you go with a group of people camping around Yellowstone National Park for a month doing community service, etc.
She asked my mom if she could go with our family friend Rachel who lives in our town if she could go to Tim's house and visit him and Petey.
My mom said yes, so my sister found all the train times, and money and everything.
Tim lives in a boardering state.
Then my sister told my mom she wanted to sleep over.
And they got into his HUGE fight.

My mom won't let my sister sleep over, and its pretty obvious why. She says there is 'no supervision' and 'its not right for a lady to sleep over a guys house' and 'she never met him'
BUT.
My mom lets my sister go over her boyfriends house.

Any suggestions on helping my sister?

I think you all need to sit down and find out what your mom expects of you. and yes your sister should not be going to her boyfriends and staying the night she is not an adult and cannot make her own decisions and it is not appropriate . Your mom is right . good luck .

Visiting is one thing, staying overnight is a whole different ballgame that your sister shouldn't be playing. Mom knows the boyfriend, he is nearby to find and easy to beat the snot out of if he harms your sister. The guy friend is unknown to Mom and out of reach being not just out of town, but out of state. It is a dangerous situation for a minor to enter into. I'm with Mom on this one, she is being responsible for your sister's welfare.

I bet your mom does not let her spend the night at her boyfriend's house. She is just trying to protect your sister - you might think your parents are strict now (I know I did when I was younger) - but now I am SO glad they were. Kept me out of a lot of trouble!

Your mom is right partly. She shouldnt be letting your sister go over to her b/f house unless she trust his parents and they are there chaperoning.
