For some people who used to be the most important person in their child's life, it is very difficult to accept that their opinion no longer carries the weight it once did. I think your dad is feeling a little useless now. It happens but it is just another part of life.

I have two sons. After they got married and moved out it was a strange feeling. It was particularly tough on my wife who suddenly found herself with time on her hands. She felt lost for a while.

Now we have three grandchildren. They have us busy again. But this time it is better. We get all the good parts. We can spoil them all we want. It is wonderful, again. As I like to tease my son, we can sugar them up and send them home.

First things first....dads dont ever want their baby girls to grow up. Second, would it be so hard to placate him on this one? Thank him, and let things work themselves out. Do you still spend time with him? Dad and daughter time? Try it once a week or month, what ever is convenient. As you two grow closer he will be more open to your desires and wishes. He thinks he is protecting you and really doesn't want to see you make mistakes in life that he may have experienced. Just love him unconditionally and everything will work itself out.

Sometimes it is hard for dads to let got of there little girls. But i think a plot is alittle off. I mean I love my dad but I will be buried with my husband not my dad.

Well, he has to respect your choices, especially in this matter. Ask him to be understanding. It will be hard but eventually he will come to terms with your decisions..

You're grown..lol

he doesnt want to accept the fact that you are grown up and not his little baby anymore. he probably misses you as a child and doesnt want to accept reality.
