That happened to me A LOT in grade school. What usually worked for me was to just be nice to the person. And DONT make fun of them. They will eventually get the hint that you dont feel the same way they do.

I used the good old.... "I am not allowed to have a boyfriend" line. And I tried my hardest not to treat them any differently, although, I really wanted to run away, since I was so embarrassed. Even then, I knew it took alot of out someone to admit such a thing. I was terrified of rejection, so I made sure not to make anyone feel bad for liking me.

haha im still in grade school but 6th. anywayz... this one second grader liked me. and he would always chase me. well not exactly chase but always spy on me. i just talked to them and told him to not bug me. i always ignored him. but when i talked to him and said i dont have the same feelings he has for me. he was realllllllllly madd. i know it may be dumb but it worked.... but in 5th grade there was one of this dude in my class. he was really weird. and he was actually the most trouble maker through the school. he once choked one of his class mates. he got hecka in trouble. anyways.... i kept hiding from him in line because both of the classes would stand next to each other. then he would stare at me.... as the year went by one of these days i thought he was waiting for me outside of the classroom after school. but he left when his best friend got out of class. so i just stayed in there for a while til' they left. i thought he was waiting for me... but however.... the year went by again and at the end of the school year i found out that it was just a prank. he's so dumb....

Told them up front and then maintained friendship so it wasn't awkward for them once the statement was delivered.
