There have been raids at the SWIFT plant and then another one at the Del Monte plant in Portland...and you know what? The facts stand that there were hundreds of people wanting jobs the next day! They are taking the JOBS THAT BELONG TO AMERICANS BY LAWS THAT WE HAVE NOW!

Its been thoroughly established! So much for all the bull Americas won't do these jobs. I and my whole family worked in a meat packing plant for years so I do a slow boil when they say....they are doing jobs Americans won't do.
We even clean our own house and mow our own lawns....to bad the illegals didn't do the same in the country they came from. Had they, it wouldn't look like the city dump.

You are right and obviously from Oregon. Let your Senator Widen know that he had better star caring about Oregonians instead of Illegal Aliens. Widen and most Democrat bums are more concerned about Illegals than the American People. Widen voted for the Amnesty Bill along with Hillary and Obama. It's only true for the states that the Gov. is taking the law into their own hands and doing something about the illegal issues..There's not much being done in California because Hispanics run allot of the state here.... Even though there are
people that are not in agreement with the proposed immigration bill ...It's really like the opposers aren't even here listened to..All I know is we better secure our borders soon and come up with a plan to manage the future...

This is America... Flooding the labor market treasonously and illegally with slave labor is not the answer to filling jobs that are hard to fill. Paying more or offering other incentives are the legal American ways!!!
Supply and demand is the most basic principle in economics. We have ALL been hurt by an illegally flooded labor market. Only a fool would believe otherwise.
This amnesty is all about criminals and their criminal slaves getting exactly what they want. A foreign invasion of the USA being treasonously allowed... Amnesty for the invaders is also amnesty for the treasonous criminals who let our nation be invaded for lower wages and bigger corporate profits. That's why they want it so bad now. No more illegal invaders... no more government guilty of treason... no more fear of punishment.
Enforcing labor laws is all that must be done... If the illegals couldn't work... they'd have to leave. Let's see you work, drive, find housing, etc... without the proper papers... Let's see you commit the crimes these scum do and get off so easy... This is all about paying Americans less, increasing profit margins, and even having the already cheated American workers foot the bill for it and suffer the resulting crime problems in our neighborhoods... It is true. The mass media tells us that only 41% of Americans oppose this Reform Bill, But my personal research of family, friends indicates more that 90 % disapprove of this reform bill. We simply do not believe in granting amnesty to ILLEGALS.
I have been working and supporting myself since I was 15. I have held jobs since I was about ten. I have been a pinsetter in a bowling alley, cleaned stalls on dairy farms, baled hay for several different farms, made pizzas, worked in convience stores, washed cars, pumped diesel fuel at a truck stop, worked as a cook, served in the military, worked in construction, owned my own business in construction, worked as a retail manager, worked as a paint mixer. I know what kinds of jobs Americans will do. I have never seen a job that an American WON'T do. I have seen our big business tear apart families when the businesses send jobs to other countries like Mexico, or when our government destroys industries by taxing the hell out of them for export and allowing foreign countries to dump cheap goods into our country (steel) !!!!! It is a shame how this government, with clowns like Kennedy, sitting up in DC all fat-dumb-and happy, telling Americans what is best for us. We know what is best, but DC won't listen. Its time to change Congress. Out with the old, and in with the new!! There are many real patriots out there who would do great work in DC, we just have to find them and put them in office. I can tell you, that they are not affiliated with either the democrat or republican parties!!!!

ABSOLUTELY! The pro-illegals claimed that the "Day without an immigrant" protest in 2006 was going to cripple our economy. The sort-of claimed the same thing this year. NOPE! We got along just fine without them. Actually It was really nice having clear freeways during rush hour!

I don't know about the rest of you, but I have never had the extra money or conviction to hire someone to cut my lawn or clean my house. I'd just as soon do it myself, and save the money. Then one day I'll teach my kid to do it.
It seems to me that it is the rich people in Congress and in Beverly Hills are the only ones who need those services, but that just what I see.

Yeah, it makes no sense. I think if these jobs paid a reasonable wage and followed OSHA rules, a lot of Americans would line up for them.
