Definitely not. Minivans are popular here. All of the moms in my moms group drive minivans except me. lol I drive a TINY car, a Mitsubishi Mirage. Its SO small but its paid for and going strong. We make sacrifices for me to stay home and adding a car payment isn't possible.

Well I tell you this much, I have one and sometimes I wish I didnt. I would LOVE to have a car. However, I have 2 girls, 11 and 9, and a 3 1/2 year old son and 38 weeks 5 days with boy #2. I would NEVER make it in a car. There are people out there that have SUV's with no kids. That is just ridicilious if you ask me. I would have a car so I could fill up once a week and still have spending money, with an SUV I fill up and go to town and Im on empty again. Well, there goes $65 bucks, sure wish I coulda went shopping with that! ;-) LOL Just be thankful you dont have one if you are not FORCED to have the room. Good luck and enjoy the life WITHOUT an SUV. ;-)

No, most of my mom friends have regular cars. I, on the other hand, have a Honda CR-V. It's a compact SUV with reasonable gas mileage and it's emissions test. I like it alot, holds a lot, but it's small enough that it hides behind the SUV's and trucks in the parking lots.

If you are the only mom w/o an SUV consider yourself the smartest mom of them all. Who needs a gas guzzler? Some idiot said they were "safer". Very incorrect. Those things will roll is a second and they're not safe for your wallet by any means! Why get something big and obtrusive when you can have a cool or classy car that you can even get HYBRID. They're making almost anything hybrid now.

I have a 7 passenger mini van but I want to get a new suburban that seats 9/10 soon. I'm not worried about gas because I only leave the house every Friday to do the weekly shopping & maybe once or twice a month on Wednesdays to car pool for church

Not anymore! I just became a mom without an SUV, traded in my gas hog Durango in for a sweet mini van! Why drive a gas hog if you don't have to? If all three of my kids weren't still in carseats I'd have gotten a car.

no... I have a 1 year old and a 2 year old. We did have a 2 door car for a long time but my husband... being himself totaled it... got to love him. And at that time he lost his job so we couldn't afford a new car so we went and bought this ugly ugly Buick. But we are now doing better might get an suv. But Im trying to talk him into getting a house. A lot of mothers also have mini vans. And some of them look really nice.

you could also lease a camp trailer good at maximum campgrounds, they sometimes accommodate 4-6 human beings and function a refrigerator, sofa, double mattress, television, bathing room and bathe, range and oven. you'll many times detect ordinary methods to deliver your own sheets and blankets, pillow situations, towels. i'm from Jersey also yet no longer acquainted with that zip code. in case you look into coastline campground, huge timber lake CG, Ocean View CG you'll see what I propose, they are all round Cape might want to, Wildwood section. OH for sure you'll want to deliver all of your own nutrition, paper towels, lavatory paper, cleansing soap and such. extra positive commence to look quickly..those places authentic off very quickly. reliable success and function a competent time.

I have a car. 32 mpg AND it fits us nicely. SUV's are gas hogs and with gas prices the way they are and global warming and all why not do your best to make it cheaper and better on the environment?

No! I drive a 2007 Hyundai Sonata. I can drive for over 2 weeks on 3/4 of a tank of gas--almost 400 miles combined city and highway. And it's safe, safe, safe. There are more important things than 4WD/AWD that you never use.
