(you know what I mean)
Do you ever find yourself experiencing the answers or the questions on R&S? In other words, whether you're asking or answering, have you noticed in your everyday life that the themes being discussed on here are also being revealed and manifested in your daily reality? If you don't, then maybe this question is not for you! I'm curious about those who've noticed a connection.
In other words, if you say 'yes', then how and why could this be? Is it selective perception, i.e., you buy a new car and suddenly notice all the other people driving the same car? Is it the power of suggestion, i.e., you answer a question about the ebb and flow of R&S and you start to create an ebb and flow to your answers? Or is there something happening on y/a that's much bigger than what the founders originally intended? What could that be? When it boils down to it, is this R&S section spiritually significant or not? Why do so many feel compelled to come back here again and again?

Ho ho ho ! Sunman strikes again !

You want an example, right now, right here ? ;-)))

I'm reading the answers, so far, to Sunman's typically apt question, having starred it as soon as I read it, and I keep finding one's that get better and better :

Don H. : short and sweet, right on target, as we expect from Don.

KKingS : Yes, I certainly 'resonated' with this answer.

MichelleV : Chimes in with a blockbuster answer, including one of my favourite references to the Internet, I too believe that this technology could be the catalyst for the major 'Shift' that is happening right now in our 'world'.

One Love : Blows me away yet again, starting with his elbow at Sunman for the question and ending with "The Collective Consciousness within my Own Being!", what can I say ?

Serenity : A beautiful, quiet, yet affirmative answer. Strength in disguise here, I sense.

Goodfella : Pops in with references to Redfield, Jung and the Desiderata, class act. :-)

Catherine E. : Points out that Y!A R & S seems to have taken on a life of it's own, and I would certainly agree with that, look at the list here ( which is by no means complete ), she closes with this comment : "We're the one's who are making this site a huge success.", and she is perfectly correct, actually it's always 'us' who make it 'happen', isn't it ? ;-)

And then ....... who should pop up but CD, and what does he have to say ? That things have been a bit 'rocky' lately ! Well folks, welcome to the Roller Coaster !

There I was, a year or so ago, riding high on a wave of Redfieldian 'synchronicity', everything in my world 'ticking' smoothly, like a well-oiled clock. Then, one by one, things starting getting egg-shaped.

Early in November I have a near fatal car crash, if you could see the vehicle you wouldn't believe that anyone survived. First time in my life a wreck of this level of severity, and no reasonable explanation. One month later, to the hour, a near fatal boat wreck, first time in my life I loose a vessel. I spend three months trying to salvage something, in the end to no avail.

As it has turned out in both cases the insurers have evaded paying out, and it looks like I have to stand the losses, which are too great to imagine. Getting back home I find that there is an equally disastrous situation waiting for me here, too many details to go into, but ..... disastrous.

And so ........ well, and so .... what ? ;-)

And so, I am still the luckiest person in the world. If I had expired at any time in the last 40 + years I could not have had any regrets, I have experienced more this time around than most people get a chance to in twenty life-times. I 'know' everything that has 'happened' to me is part of my ruling entity's 'master plan', and that 'where' I am right now is exactly 'where' I am supposed to be, and includes writing these words to you all, and in response to Sunman's fabulous question, and saying yes, of course it is 'running' exactly how it should, and that we will gradually 'real'-ise that everything that we focus on, does become our reality.

And that we come 'here' "again and again" because that is what we both want, and choose, to do. Because ...... well .... because what ?

Maybe it's that we 'know' that here we are working together to bring about that which we agreed to come back and do .... together ... help shift the focus of others in sufficient numbers to create the 'critical mass' necessary to trigger the 'Shift'.

I think that it's happening, I think that CD, like me, is dealing with some attachment stuff, and that probably, if the truth be known, that most of 'us' are. I am a 'big picture' person, and i have read so many answers which answer me things that were never asked in the original question, things about all of you .... all of us ..... the 'One', yes even the 'Collective', Jung was certainly one of 'us', like all the 'genius' down the ages, just 'Rips in the Veil' showing what its possible, to keep us from going too far into the 'Illusion'.

And now ..... 'here' we are. -)))

So, yes, Sunman. I guess I agree. This thing has grown beyond the intended 'vision', and now it's our vision .... so where do we go from here ?

Suggestions ?

You people, you just blow me away ! Keep on keeping on.

{Edit}

OK, that's it ! Anyone want 'proof' ? I post my answer and it pops up, with one from SpaceBunny of Psi Co, in between CD and me. What is SpaceBunny's remark about ? Phoenix's, right ?

The name of the boat I just lost was the Phoenix ! The only boat I ever rebuilt from the 'ashes' of an earlier disaster, and then lost again within two years !

Questions ? Oh, and if any 'Doubting Thomas's' out there think I'm making this up I have all the photos and suchlike to prove it.

Much love,

DM

You just described my life. I noticed the phenomenon when I left family and home to look for a new life. The teacher I found was big on omens, overboard even. He tried to be a prophet and failed miserably. Yet the experience was fantastic. I used to think that the synchronocity had seven day cycles. In other words the events could be expected to pop up anytime within that seven day period. Now either the cycle is much shorter or it doesn't even exist, but happen they do. Since I spend a fair bit of time on YA, a fair bit of the events are YA connected. We have a weekly group of people here weekly cuz they don't speak English and they want some guidance with the Abraham-Law of Attraction stuff, which by the way explains how vibrational birds flock together. I also participate in a blog (near 20,00 hits per week) to do with the cult I wound up in for 13 years. In all three of these and more, the synchronocity persists. What impresses me even more is that I will have a thought ie. to do a search on a particular subject, say Michael (channelled), and three bloggers will relate to that exact subject on that very day or the next for the first time in over 6,000 posts.

Keeping our eyes and ears open is a given. Actually running experiments that you individually design is where it's at. I am already too long, so cheers! Ron

Interesting question. I think that I now NOTICE things more in my reality that have been discussed as subjects on Y/A R&S. They were probably always there, but I didn't notice them as much. Now it's more apt to catch my attention.
I think you make a good point in wondering if Y/A has become something bigger than what was originally intended. I think that that's something that is definitely true. Y/A was meant to be a strictly "Ask a question, and if someone out there knows the answer, they can provide it." The R&S section in particular has turned into a room that has taken on a life of it's own. It's almost become a sort of chat room. I know they're trying to curb that now, and that's why a lot of questions, answers and accounts are being violated and deleted, but I think they really should give a little leeway to the people on here. We've made it interesting and fun, and even if we deviate from the original purpose a bit, we're their customers, and we've made it what we want it to be. If I were one of the people who run it, I would say to just stand back a bit. We're the one's who are making this site a huge success.

The idea prevails is perceived by the higher intelligence - as water fills the emptiness of the oceans of the world so the etheric fills the emptiness of the space between the molecules that either becomes dense or thin as the sky is cleared no cloud intrudes into the space even this clear etheric emptiness is teeming with unseen power which is in a constant state of flux and in a few moments creates clouds which prevent you from seeing and admiring what you were enjoying up until now and as suddenly the clouds cover the beauty of the sky's purity and a torent of earthly explanation rains upon thoughts and mis-considerations and the wind appears when you were not expecting something that questions whether the etheric invisible forces influence human beings that they who have been chosen to see the external and the etheric empty space may communicate directly to cleanse your thoughts from an infectious deficiency of intelligence - that is held in darkened space - that dwells in the heart of those who are sleep walking in ignorance a condition - created by means of control - are those that lead astray others in deceitful ways - this contains nothing - for to call forth criticism toward people like myself and put a stain on that persons perspective and is an ignorant fool who does not open the eyes to see the natural innocent beauty of Life - and you ask why that someone like myself should be compelled to come back here again and again to have some interaction with others like myself - who are perhaps niave in some way about certain phrases - is a downright afront to what is commonly accepted as decent consideration as the ignorance in some hearts and minds is shrouded in igonrant deceitful pleasure and these individuals are deficient of intelligence that they only see and hear through tainted acts of their Life that are dictated by some screw-ball-geek.

Sunman, stop speaking about my reality... *wink*

When you're eyes and ears (The Mind) is open, it is not just Y!A that this phenomenon (if you want to call it that) happens. It would be you're entire world. You begin to take part in the ever-elusive, wholly-complex, energetic laws of creation. You BECOME the creation you envision in the world.

The more you think (or should I say, release), the more of what you are thinking (releasing) becomes your reality.

I would say that for many people, a lot of what is experienced contains much struggle and strife, yet deep within the silence of our inner sacred space (at our heart's center) there is something to gain from each and every experience. Especially when one can realize how they, themselves, brought that experience into being by their Mind.

Is this 'selective perception'? Partially!
Is this the 'power of suggestion'? Partially!
Do you create your own 'ebb & flow'? Partially!
Or is there something bigger going on? Always!

There is much more than meets the eye to this Y!A community, and the communal big picture (in general). When we focus our attention on merely what we perceive with the 5 physical senses, we tend to keep ourselves blind to the deeper meaning of what -and- WHY we are perceiving any particular thing by those senses. But, when we open the Mind's eyes/ears, we start to see that maybe -just maybe- we are a LOT more involved in the way our reality is shaped and in the things that we are perceiving with our physical senses. Even down to the smallest little details!

Is this the Truth? Partially!
Is this madness? Partially!
Is this the way things are? Always!

I love your question and I actually had to sit down and ponder. As a Muslim I believe I am compelled to come here because I don't want to be narrow minded and throw people into awkward catagories. I like to seek knowledge and I like to spread it. I love seeing the different view point of jews, christians, atheists etc... It's more of a spiritual thing..

Well I have noticed that once I started posting questions about hijab others did too, and I know they might have been there before but I just felt like it's appearing more for a reason. I just started wearing the hijab and of course felt the negative attention BUT many non-Muslims who understood what I was trying to say assured me that not everyone on earth hates difference. And sure enough after that, I started noticing a change, good change in people around me.

I say it's the will of Allah (swa).. and it's also the vibe and persona I carry now ...

and a star for you :)

I think it's a common phenomenon. Whenever I buy a new car, suddenly it seems like everyone has the same. When I got pregnant it seemed everyone was pregnant. I constantly refer to answers I have given here in my day to day life - and the conversations turn to whatever I am doing on Answers (sometimes it's health and sometimes R&S).

This is referred to as "Plate of shrimp" theory in the movie Repo Man and even is analagous to the ideas in The Secret (www.thesecret.tv) in that what we dwell upon in our hearts and minds is what we manifest in our lives. I think it is more than simply noticing - I think our thoughts help to shape our world.

I think the R&S section is spiritually significant. It is so important for us as individuals to see the similarities and the diversity in our larger community - beyond our own circle of friends and family. I am compelled because I can not resist the joining in the dance and the conversation. There are important things to say and hear here.

Peace!

Yes, I noticed it right off. Makes you really watch what you say. I changed my intent once I got here due to this very thing.

I even asked a question about it! My response from others was that I was becoming enlightened. I hadn't realised how much I was selecting to overlook. Changing my views of enlightenment in the first place. So, what I'm overlooking I'm becoming enlightened about. Because my basic intent is to develop experiencially, I can't do that being overly selective in my attentions.

And how do you balance and move effectively through it all? I deliberate everyday, here.

It is much bigger than the creators intended. We make it so. We apply meaning. I really think that this is the struggle that they have with the contributers. It is sensed that it has become it's own entity and is constantly being contained inside guidelines that people just generally learn to work around. Just like life.

Spiritually significant has become such a different thing to me. I surround myself with teachers. With the reality of others, constantly remembering that reality is subject to who is seeing it.

WE are not sitting on mountaintops paying homage to the sky. Although, I like to imagine it often. We're in the trenches. Trenches that we created. I'm so amazed to be here. With all these different realities, questions like these make me remember what is really going on. That something else is always going on.

Took me over a month and halfway through level three before I found the pocket...

Poolhall analogy...

My quest always brings me back to me. Expanding from the inside out, as is my desire doesn't truly look like one thing. But parts of everything and nothing. What I left to be here doesn't make sense until you look beyond what you consider safe, into unknown territories. I never want to be the same again, and I want that on a daily bases.

A BIG RESEARCH IS PERHAPS ON... despite the great spiritual masters having preached about thought power since times immemorial ( fallen on deaf ears of most people, because they are ignorant to percieve , their perception being limited to sensory levels). Perhaps this story quoted below may 'amuse' (atleast !)
Quote...
The Critical Mass Theory.....
It is common for people to say "but what can we do?" or something similar. The critical mass theory explains why we need to be proactive and make the change happen quicker.

In his book The Hundredth Monkey, Ken Keyes, Jr. wrote about scientists who had been observing monkeys in the wild for thirty years. In 1952, on the island of Koshima, when there was a serious drought & famine, they provided monkeys with sweet potatoes which they had dropped in sand. The monkeys liked the taste of the potatoes but found the sand unpleasant. One day, an eighteen month old monkey washed the potatoes in a nearby stream. She taught the trick to her mother and her playmates, who taught it to their mothers. As the story is told, perhaps 99 monkeys learned to wash their sweet potato between 1952 and 1958. One day the 100th monkey learned to wash the potatoes. Suddenly, almost every monkey on the island began to wash their potatoes before eating them. The added energy of this 100th monkey had somehow created a behavioral breakthrough.
But, more amazing, the scientists observed that the act of washing sweet potatoes had jumped over the sea, because the colonies of monkeys on other islands, as far as 500 miles away, began washing their sweet potatoes.

This phenomena is known as "critical mass." When a limited number of people know something in a new way, it remains the conscious property of only those people. However, there is a point at which if only one more person tunes in to a new awareness, that new awareness is picked up by everyone.

Come join the campaign.

A few days ago, there was a congeries of Phoenixes on here; my husband went yard saling and brought me a tiny metal Chinese fan, and it had a Phoenix on it. But the questions on here led me to read about the Dragon and the Phoenix and wonder in that direction. R &S often directs my attention in real life. Causation and synchronicity isn't just one-way; as you say, it is an ebb and flow. As for the compulsion to come back, well...it is also an addiction!

Everything is connected, and this strand of Y!A is one of many proofs of it :)
I doubt I could add much after One Love's, DazMaz's and others great epic answers, but I would agree with them all.
We are not who we think we are, for the most part, and what I can glimpse through the illusion awes me.

There is the right time for everything, and I'm sure I came across this R&S section in the due course of my own track, so that I can connect and see for myself the reassuring fact that there are many others who feel and think in a similar way to my own. And this is a great feeling :)

As I progress though, I start to feel the necessity to handle my thoughts more carefully, because they start to have a more direct impact on my reality. Does it ever happen to you?

This puts in a new light the affirmation of gurus on the importance of having good thoughts, good words, good deeds. It all comes back to you. Directly.

Peace.
