i just bought some strawberries from the grocery store but want to clean them before i eat them. does anyone know what i should do?

cut the green off them then wash them lightly. Then use them. They don't last.

only rinse them. and only rinse what you are eating. store any leftovers, back in fridge. water will hurt the berries if storing for a bit.

i usually just hack off the top of the berry where the green stem is, sprinkle with sugar and a bit of balsamic vinegar and let it marinade for a bit. And then serve with lemon curd jam stuff and biscotti. very italian.

Pluck off the green top of the berry wash the berry under water and slice or eat whole. If you slice them and add some sugar acover and let sit in the refrigerator they will make their own syrup for shortcake.

i would say you rinse them first. Then cut the green off and eat it as you please. the left overs, lay them out on a clean paper towel on a plate, so that they don't get smooooshy :)
