Well being my husband was an atheist for most of his 45 years, and I ,a Christian , we really did not discuss religion or belief systems. I respected his beliefs and he respected mine. 7 years ago he found God and is now a very devout Christian . We now learn from each other

My mate taught me that the more heinous the sins of the past, the more grateful for salvation a person will be. Those of us raised in the faith sometimes take salvation and new life for granted. He is a great example of a changed life.
(great question)

Democracy provides us the suited freedom of the different structures of government. It derives from a device devised by the classic Greeks, whose faith replaced into polytheist. It did no longer derive from Christianity. As somebody who lives in Europe, it concerns me that the politics of the worldwide's richest and maximum valuable united states of america looks to have been hijacked by the non secular desirable. non secular people have a factor to play in democracy, yet not extra so than all of us else. I ought to assert which you seem to have boastful perspectives approximately your individual faith being more suitable to others or to atheism, or to socialism. permit's desire for the sake of the unfastened worldwide that people such as you do no longer take administration of the US government.

I think I've learned more from my husband about politics than faith, but I suppose this is related - he helped me to see that certain world conflicts are not actually about religion, but about money/oil/land/etc which helped me to get rid of grudges I had against certain people.

That you must forgive ALWAYS because Jesus forgives us. They say the person closest to you hurts you the most. Maybe not always. And forgiving doesn't justify their actions. Forgiving someone is alot for ourselves. When we forgive someone then whatever the problem or issue was doesn't eat at us any more or as much.

That Muslim women don't get custody of children in a divorce and that Christians and Jews who followed the Prophets(PBUH*) before Jesus(PBUH*) go to Jinnah(heaven). And that Christians and Jews who know that Muhammad(PBUH*) is the last and final prophet of ALLAH(SWT) and don't follow him well burn in the fires of Jahannam(hell).

My husband doesn't believe in the divinity of Jesus, so we have discussions a lot about that. It challenges me to question why I believe what I do, and to look at the issue from lots of different perspectives. And it feels really good to tell him he's going to hell...:p (Even though neither of us believes in hell).

That the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony really IS "two becoming one flesh". I would rather cut off an arm than lose her.

My husband and I are Muslim, but I wasn't when we married. My husband taught me how Muslim men are SUPPOSED to treat their wife and what Allah expects of him as a man, a husband and (eventually) a father. He also taught me to pray.
