1987 engine would not be my choice eight spark plug Z 2.4 liter engine had exhaust emission controls on the left fender and was to complex. and being a early injector yes one injector engine. Try to find a replacement engine and transfercase transmission in Mexico. There you might find all you'll need to rebuild the L-20 b carb motor and keep it completly stock.

Best way to find out is does that trans fit the same engine? And does the same engine fit the same trans from model to model. If they are identical im going to assume that they will fit.
