I went to the ciropractor the other day, and he pointed out to me that my right arm, and right leg, are longer then the left arm and leg. Why is this?

He also told me that my pelvis is not aligned (the right side is higher then the left). Does this have something to do with my arm and leg lengths?

I wish he never pointed this out, because now I can't help but notice it!

There might be an imbalance with your hormones that could be affecting your growth plates.

The right side of your pelvis is higher than the left because your right leg is longer than the left.

It's pretty common for one limb to be longer than the other. Other reasons could be scoliosis or twisted muscles to name a few. Did he take x-rays? He should be able to straighten you out (no pun intended).

I went to a friend who is a chiropractor because my back was bothering me. He had told me that my muscles had "bunched up" from doing a lot of heavy lifting at work. By teh time I left his office, my legs and pelvis were even and back pain was gone. Also have a friend who is a medical massage therapist tell me basically the same thing.

I'm no doctor, and this is most likely NOT your solution. Sometimes your muscles can bend in different directions, and stretch and what not. For example, put both your arms out and touch a wall. Bend your right arm back to touch your left shoulder blade, making a triangle-y shape. Then reach back out to touch the wall. You should be able to strech your arm more. This probably has nothing to do with your question, but if nothing else, a random fact of the day. =]

You don't say how old you are, but do you remember Polio? I had Polio, in my right leg, it is shorter than the left. My husband also had Polio, in his right arm, it is shorter and smaller than his left arm. My husband was born in 1950, I was born in 1955, same year the vaccine came out, but we both got Polio, when we were about 9 months old..

The Polio also affected my pelvis, but did not stop me from having 2 healthy babies.
