Convince your local garden center to sell you a fruit tree for $10. You do not need a lot of space even a tiny ballerina variety of apple tree will do. Plant it in your garden. In a couple of years it will produce fruit. Pick the fruit each year and give it to a good cause of your choice; give an apple each to lots of homeless people or a basket of plums to a local shelter.
It is enhancing your neighbourhood with pretty blossom and greenery. It also provides a wildlife habitat and gives you a gift you can keep on giving each year.

Give it directly to a shelter. They will be glad to use it for food and other necessities. Or, many churches, particularly in inner cities, sponsor local schools or organize volunteer tutors. You can contribute toward the purchase of needed school supplies. Your $10.00 can go a long way to help.

Yes, if its from the heart give it and you know that its not going to be used on drugs or something then go right ahead just make sure they are for real and need it even though its only $10 its the thought that counts.

$10 isn't much but to someone who has nothing its a lot. Either you can donate it to a shelter to help feed homeless people, or you can go to the grocery store and buy a bunch of canned goods and donate those to your local food bank and help a few families out, or you can just give it to one person and let them decide what to do with it.

give ten bums a dollar. on each bill right this "there is at least 7 more of these per hour if you can flip burgers at a McDonalds. GET A JOB AND STOP BEING A DRAIN ON SOCIETY! With $500 billion.. you might be able to buy all of the poor people in the US out of poverty. With $10 you might be able to give 3 homeless people sandwiches.

give it to a no-kill dog shelter. they take in abused or stray dogs and keep them Until they get a home..no matter how long it takes. i think that's a way to help the poor...the poor animals that is
