Both. But you LOOK thinner because your body gets tighter.
You actually get heavier because muscle is heavier than fat.

This depends on a lot of factors, a main one having to do with your body type and metabolism. As a general rule:
low weight + high reps = more defined, cut look. better for losing weight and achieving a better general body shape.
high weight + low reps = a more bulk look. best for gains in max-out excercises.
Stick with the former for weight loss and you will not only see your body changing to your liking but you will have more energy and be stronger. You will be able to perform cardio-vascular excercises much ore easily with these advantages, hence longer cardio sessions and more weight loss. Weight loss is a funny process though, you will plateau unexpectantly but stick with it, losses will return shortly thereafter.

It depends, if you lift light weights and do more repetitions you will lose fat and tone and also be doing cardio exercise. If you lift heavier weights with less repetitions you will gain more muscle. Whichever way, it helps your metabolism speed up so you will burn more calories when not exercising.

Basically you are gaining muscle - more muscle means faster metabolism so if you keep eating the same amount of calories you are gona lose fat as well.

both i was a big kid goin into 9th grade not alot of fat but some
and i got stong and lost weight and people tell me that it looks like ur solid now i dont see a difference but they do i guess so both is the answer to ur ques .

i think your just adding muscle because lifting weights doesnt really burn calories.
