We never stand up for ourselves. We never riot in the streets like the muslims do. We now accept homosexuality, divorce, and abortion just so some people aren't offended. We can't even say our religion is the true one, for fear of offending Muslims or Atheists. Many Christians say all religions are right, despite the fact that it isn't true. And now, we can't put nativity scenes on public ground or say "Merry Christmas".

All we do is quietly dissent and that is it. I think that soon we will be rendered obselete by those that take advantage of our infinite kindness and tolerance that we have displayed throughout the centuries. Christians have truly become timid and weak.

When there were merchant in his father's church he ran into the temple in a rage and THREW THEM OUT. Do you guys not remember that? Jesus was peaceful and nice, but he was just and righteous, not a pushover.

I was using the riots over the Mohammed cartoons as an example. As a figure of "artistic expression" in New York, an artist did something very horrendous to a picture of Mary. I didn't see any Christians come out to peacefully protest. Many don't care.

BTW, I'm not saying all Christians are pushovers, but many have become that way. They just accept things, they don't get angry about anything anymore. I've heard many of them say such PC wishy-washy things its disgusting.

As for the disciples, one of them did cut off the ear of one of the soldiers when they tried to take Jesus away. Jesus and his disciples were strong! To preach his message, to take all those risks, to resist the devil, he surely wasn't meek, but strong and courageous in spirit and in heart!

This makes it obvious Jesus does want us to be firm, stand up for our beliefs, and stay strong!

FYI, to the person who was in denial about how Christians are becoming secular and relative, the Anglican church appointed a gay bishop several years ago with little dissent. If that doesn't convince you that something is wrong, well, I don't know what I can say.

All the scenarios you describe do not describe Christians.
True Christians are servants, but not door mats. We'll wash your feet, but not let you wipe them on us!
I don't know what "Christian" church you attend, but I assure you it does not sound Christian if homosexuality is accepted as a viable life style; if divorces pervade the congregation; if abortion doesn't grieve the congregation and leadership; if the need to be politically correct outweighs the need to speak the truth.

You have mistaken timidity and weakness for "meekness."
True meekness is great power under the control of the Holy Spirit.
Protesting won't help. Signing petitions won't help. Being fearful of offending the sinner is unscriptural. Thank God I have a praying church.

Don't group this into the whole christian faith believes in this blahblahblah, it's stupid. I'm a strong catholic and i'm strongly against abortion. We don't riot in the streets because we believe in peace not violence. Not everything can be solved by force or hatred, it gets us nowhere. We aren't allowed to put religious things in public places because the stupid government people are being stupid asshats. I don't know how many christians you've talked too but I know many who are not timid and weak.

Who did he throw out? The hypocrites.

Show me one time his disciples did the same thing and I'll cede your point.

Jesus said to Pilate: "my Kingdom aint of this world, dude. If it was, my homies - the'yd be fightin fools. But, since they don't be fighting, you know my kingdom? It's not of this world, bro!"

Maybe Mohammad rioted. I'm not following him.

Jesus gave me specific instructions and rioting wasn't one of them.

Do you want to walk in the power of the flesh? If so, then go riot. If you want the power of the Spirit, you're going to have to review what Jesus and the Apostles taught and DO IT. Jesus was prophesied to "cleanse the temple". Are you prophesied to cleanse such a thing? Or, are you called to walk in the power of the Spirit?

It was God who gave us all free choice. So why should we try to change his way. They are either for us or against us.We are to tell them like it is.You can't make anyone believe what we do. It is a choice. If they choose not to follow ,judgment day will prove all.WE will never be obsolete. We have last over 2000yrs.And the meek will inherit the earth.
God bless

Jesus is our Example.
Of a Christian.

Nobody, and I mean Nobody could take-out Jesus UNTILL HE let HIS Guard Down.

Jesus is the Head of the Church (Body of Christ--HIMSELF)

Now, if all of us go out, then The HEAD of this Deal will be Left, and NOBODY takes out Jesus.

Now do you Think that the Body of Christ is still Weak?
Ditto.........Thanky Jesus!

"The meek (timid) shall inhereit the earth." You are meant to bring yourself to God that you might be saved, and not try to save the world when it doesnt want to be saved. You worry about you...God will worry about them. :)
