Not all Jr. fans hate Gordon. My wife is a Gordon Fan and I like Junebug and it just makes for a real interesting race come Sunday.
OK, so Jeff whines a lot and isn't much for partying with the guys but he's got a nice looking wife. Give him some credit.

it is kind of like the Ohio State/ michigan rivalry... especially woody and bo years.. the two coaches were friends, but the rivalry between the schools were there ... for some reason (and you all might have to help me on this since I am relatively new to watching) the fans have needed a rival to make the "show" interesting.... the drivers have a friendly rivalry, (making jokes at each other) but nothing serious... the idiots out there though are the ones that take the rivalry too far, dislike the driver, but the only realy way to keep it fun is to respect the man. oh and Gordon is not gay... he was only guaranteeing that he would win by doing those things

As a bipolar Earnhardt-Gordon fan, I've got a lot of questions referring to this.
When Gordon first began racing, he was "The Kid" when Earnhardt was looking for his 7th championship. Earnhardt fans didn't like how a kid was doing a dang good job racing against a gaggle of veteran drivers.

gordon seems to take the glow off Jr, the heir apparent, some folks think that Jr inherits the glory of the father and Gordon is a wannabe...I think thats it in a nutshell
On the other hand some people need to realise that there are 43 other drivers that are just a ready to win races, and working their butts off

I'm not fond of Gordon because he tends to whine a lot, and although he can spin other drivers into the wall, heaven forbid they do anything like that to him. I don't hate him, but I'm not a fan, either.

Basically, I believe the 'perceived hatred ' from Jr fans toward Gordon is that they don't want him to overcome Dale Srs statistics, as he was killed before his time. They don't realize that the times have changed as has the racing.

Hate is a strong word. There may be drivers they do and or don't like but I don't think they hate any of them. You never know who you may need to help push you past another car at any given time, or race.

why don't you junior rednecks get a new playbook, gordons gay. is that the best that you idiots can come up with after a decade of jeff kicking his butt week in week out. get some new material or pick a driver that can win a race. jeff has won more races than stewart and jr. combined. plus he passed dale seniors win total, [ ouch] i bet that hurt.
