I suppose yo u could say it's addictive. The "high"-if that's what you want to call it depends on how much you ingest and how much you've had to eat along with what your body weight is. Positive affects would be it picks you up a bit, but the negative affects are a lot harder on the body. Especially the heart. There's caffeine in a lot of products and if you're concerned about your health, read labels and judge for yourself.

Caffeine is a drug and as with any drug there are addictions and it can last life time if you are drinking even more than one soda per day . It not only affects the heart and lungs but also your muscles and nervous system and also reproduction processes . Best thing is to drink water and no caffeine with sodas or coffee as it will raise not only your blood pressure but also have negative effects on your heart in the long run . Eat healthy foods , take a multi vitamin and walk at least 5 days a week one hour each day and drink ten glasses of water every day and avoid all fried and fatty meats .

It is addictive. Very addictive. Your body develops a tolerance that requires that greater amounts are necessary to achieve the same effects - alertness and mental clarity.
Positive effects - helps blood flow to the head, reducing headaches by dilation of the blood vessels. The problem is that these headaches continue because of a dependence on caffiene.
In short - it's best to just stay away from it. It's an addictive drug that your body doesn't need.

Yes, it's addictive. It's a stimulant like "speed". I am tired and get withdrawl headaches if I don't get enough. I can't sleep if I get too much.

On the plus side, some medicines, such as Excedrine contain caffeine to help speed it through your system quicker.
