No. Religions are becoming liberal as we become more "secular." That is worldly. All religions of any merit, Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity, Islam, just to name a few, ask their followers to not follow the ways of the world.
The secular world loves its sin. Greed. Gluttony. Lust. Power. On and on.
We want to have our cake and eat it too.
Very sad.
None of us live forever. Material goods never satisfy us. Which is why we must store treasure in heaven. Service to others. Humility. Grace. These things satisfy. These things bring us peace of heart.

I haven't seen that. I think maybe there is just more churches that are being real. My church, it is Baptist, isn't extreme but I would never think it is liberal because of that. We wear pants if we want and we have a coffee house with live bands. We also read different versions of the Bible to study what they say in our Bible study classes. We sing upbeat, the pastor plays his guitar, He passes a mike around for people to talk, and to those that want to they clap and raise their hands in praise. We laugh a lot when we get together even at the Bible study.
We also all want our church to be healthy so we are asked to share our talents and use them in the church. Most people serve in some way on their own because they love God and their church.

well, there is such thing as too much of a good thing
even evangelicals disown Fred Phelps or Abortion Clinic bombers, especially after 9/11 and the so called war on terror that they fit the bill to now
