I was wondering if there is a surgical procedure like a deep scrub that will remove my damaged pores and scars. Maybe something done under anesthesia??

I'm badly sun damaged from years of surfing in tropical climate and when i looked into what a dermatologist could do for me it's amazing all the new techniques available but the price was way over 2 grand from start to finish and that quote was way over my budget.
I want the best physician and not end up scarred like my guy friend who went to a quack

I work in a spa and with Estheticians that say absolutely not. If you are resorting to surgical procedures, you risk future issues that can be worse. I will tell you first hand that vitamin E and water are your best bets. Statistic studies show that women that drink the recommended level of water daily have 55% better skin than those that don't. Don't pop zits, leave them to do their thing, or you'll get more in it's place due to spreading the bacteria from the puss. Wash your face every night whether you wear make up or not and always use a SPF 15 before you leave the house. Watch what you eat. Foods heavy in preservative, salts and sugars will cause havoc on your skin. Use water based vs oil based make ups and stay away from MAC. I use Bare Essentials Bare Minerals and my face tone has improved dramatically ever since. Take a vitamin E supplement daily and a couple times a week, use mildly dampened baking soda on your face working it in a circular motion. It has the same effects of microdermabrasion without the harshness or cost. I do it in the eve after washing my face 3 times a week. For the first few weeks you will experience a break out, it's just bringing all the junk to the surface and getting out of the depths of your skin. Please do not go hollywood and go for surgery, seeking perfection like we see in the mags is what is wrong with us today. There are other methods that are safer, reasonable and may take a little time committment but are far more worth it. Good luck to you.

Check with a skin doctor so you can get teh best and right procedure. I suggest doing it as soon as possible.
