Hey Josh, its called irony.

2007-06-13 12:48:28 · update #1

Definition:Sarcasm is a form of irony that is widely used in English especially when people are being humorous. Generally the sarcastic speaker or writer means the exact opposite of the word they use, often intending to be rude or to laugh at the person the words are addressed to.

They must or an equivalent. They tend to think that anyone who does not agree with them on just about anything is on the Express Elevator to Hell(except for Atheist Fundamentalists who don't believe in an afterlife Hell-if they are Communists they make Hell right here and now). Protestant Fundamentalist believe that not only atheistsbut also Catholics,Non Fundamentalist Protestants, Orthodox Christians,Jew,Muslims,Buddhists,Sikhs,Hindus,Wiccans,Pagans,Deists, and all non Prot Funda folk will be everlastingly tortured by their'righteous" narcissistic divinity with great delight apparently.

What I found out that Atheists choose to live their lives to the fullest, believing that nothing worthwhile exists beyond death. So with that understanding, Christians assume by default you would like to go to the eternal lake of fire. But I realized that y'all don't believe in that either. No Jesus, no hell, just life as you live it.

No amount of talking about Jesus will ever change an atheist's mind. Its not my job to convict an atheist's heart towards repentance. Its my job just to love them like anybody else.

You wanted truth from a "fundie", right? That's my honest answer.

Peace and blessings to you!

Not so much that we choose to send our selves to hell. Christians seem to believe, that we can choose to believe! But we're just being stuborn or we dont want to bow to god or he didn't get us a pony when 10. The whole concept of God, is just unbelievable. At least to me. I can't change that and just "believe". Certainly not just to make another group happy.

Do Christians know what irony is? Yes.

Do Atheists? Apparently not. What you said is sarcasm, not irony.

And it seems to me that most Atheists are so closed-minded that they wouldn't believe in Heaven and Hell if it was shown to them. MOST (not all) of you are just anti-religion, not true atheists.

No I think you believe that we are here due to a series of random genetic mutations that caused us to evolve into the form that we are today. Our difference is that I think god was the initial force behind that evolution. You believe it happened out of nowhere.

Science:
A body in motion will stay in motion
A body at rest will stay at rest unless acted upon by an outside source.

What was our outside source?

No. I saw that question and didn't bother to answer it because of course atheists don't believe in hell. Being a Christian....I don't believe that someone not believing in hell negates its existence. But each person is allowed their own opinion.

probably. fundies are idiots.

Another answerer had an interesting statement. Esther said that not believing in hell doesn't negate its existence. I would point out that the opposite is true for those who don't believe in it, ie, that believing that hell exist doesn't prove that it does.

Atheists don't believe in anything really.I've been brought up a Christian, gone to a christian school,tc. but seriously, until he comes and stands in front of me and proves he is God,then I'm having none of it.And plus,I'm not that good a Christian,I've got a girlfriend ;)
