Sad but true.
Let us remember to Love one another, to not put value in the things of this world, but the things of the heart. Remember that this life is short in comparison to eternity and it is but an opportunity to choose Love rather than darkness. Let the Legacy of our Lives be something we can be proud of. If I never own anything and I am tossed about the world and the seas like a leaf displaced from a tree in autumn, let me still remember to Love and know joy in times of Light and Darkness......

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other
people won't feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of
God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people
permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.

yeah sould like youve been reading alot of CS Lewis...
Its proabably a two sides of the same coin sorta deal. Yeah we are intimidated by our darkness. But then also also our capacity for light is very high. Im just not sure how big our souls can take it in right yet though...

I think that would depend on the person.
One who loves their sin would fear the light. The light might come forth and compel them to live "clean" - so to speak.
One who is pius - be it real or feigned - would fear the dark. That they might fall into sin and lose their grace.
Of course those who are the "once saved always saved" individuals never fear of losing grace. Which is very dangerous for their souls.

No, I think it is our darkness that frightens us, and rightly so.
