the veins in the leaves is what takes the food and nutrients into the leaves the roots soak it up the stem brings it toward the leaves and the veins distribute the nutrients the rest of the way. and the reason u can see them is because the leaves are so thin the vein needs to be tick enough to distribute it evenly

The veins in leaves are known as vexation. Like our veins, veins in leaves carry nutrients throughout the leaf.

Veins carry food and water through the leaf.

A vein is called a vascular bundle.
A vein has phloem to carry dissolved food molecules.
A vein has xylem to carry water.

It's pretty much like your own blood vessels - a delivery system.

Leaves need to get water from the roots and deliver sugars to the rest of the plant. They are so visible because leaves have to be thin to let sunlight through.
