I was looking around this all day, and I came to a conclusion. The only people that are really happy about JR going to Hendrick are Gordon fans and people that have been watching Nascar for less than 6 years. Does that Surprise anyone else?

I'M happy that Jr. is going to Hendricks. Any true fan of Jr. will follow him to any team he decides is best for his career. I'm not exactly a fan of Gordon, though I don't HATE him, or even dislike him. He's a great driver. And now that Jr. is with Hendricks, he can become a great driver, too. By the way... I've been a NASCAR fan for nearly 20 years, so stop with the stereotyping.

I've been watching NASCAR since the 60s, and I'm very happy about Dale Jr.'s move. I don't pretend to be a diehard Jr. fan, nor an I a bandwagoneer, but if Dale Jr. feels he can improve his fortunes by joing Hendrick Motorsports, I say go for it. Since when is it bad to imrpove your lot in life. People who don't believe it's OK to improve themselves are sad folks, IMO. That goes for you so-called "fans" of the 8 car who are upset Jr. is joining Hendrick's team. I checked the morning after the announcement, and guess what- the sun still rose in the east, the skies were still sunny, birds were still chirping, and life went on as usual.
MY favorite driver drove the 43 car.......ya wannat talk some smack about Petty?

I'm not a hendrick fan, or a jr fan for that matter, but he made the right decision going to the team with the best equipment and I'm assuming the most money. I mean hendrick has been completley dominating this year, and jr has been alittle down in luck, who wouldn't wanna drive for hendrick right now?

I have been watching NASCAR since i was a boy. i grew up in bristol, tn going to races. I have always hated the Earnhardts because i got to see how they drove off camera. i was there when Dale Sr. wrecked Terry Labonte on the last lap to win by "rattling his cage" and if you know any of my other answers on the NASCAR board you know i dont like Junior at all. But as a lifelong fan of the Hendrick drivers, i respect him for going to Hendrick because he wants to win and for that i give him respect where respect is due. he has always been an icon without doing anything to deserve it and now he wants to deserve it because God knows that hes not the most accomplished driver on the team or someone who will have any power to take over the team. I say if he wants to win hes come to the right place and this will certainly be an interesting 2008.

I am a Jr fan, as well as a Sr. fan when he was alive. I think it's great that Jr went to Hendrick. They will put far better quality cars under Jr, and I think he'll be a lot happier getting out from underneath Teresa. I look for him to have a great run next year. His focus has suffered this year due to all the stress of dealing with negotiations with his step mom. It will be weird seeing him in another car besides the red #8 car.

We could not trade Teressa so Little gotta do. He'll be just fine. Carl Edwards can deal with the stepwitch. I am a big Junior fan but this year want Gordon to take it. I feel its separate and people just love Dale and Jeff too. No need to make it more of a feud. It truly is not with them why do we make it so?
Wow Titan I bow to your mighty knowledge. About time JR nails a win. He has sat behind too long. Can he catch the 24 car? After the on DNF maybe we got an envelope. Let's see.
I heard Daddy Sr was no saint. OH Hell. Son brings dignity to the family name.

as much as i am not a gordon or johnson fan i think that hendricks is the best place for jr ... with hendricks help jr can win a cup and prove to all those haters that he is his own person and not just the son of #3 ... if an earnhardt (sr or jr) can't understand that jr is looking at what is going to help him win a cup then maybe that person is not a true earnhardt fan at all
