Establishing resident status in the Bahamas is next to impossible, unless you are willing to part with a lot of cash... Figure that for 6 figures in dollars and about 2 years of a well-connected solicitor, you might establish a business investment that would permit you to get permanent resident status. Otherwise, I've heard it's a 10 year wait.
