If you have a bulb syringe, that's the best. Fill it with warm water and squirt it directly down the ear canal. That will get everything out.

DON'T USE Q-TIPS or other objects in your ears. It just impacts the wax and pushes it in further creating a huge problem requiring medical care. You could also perforate your tympanic membrane. Use either peroxide irrigations or if the ear isn't irritated, you may use equal parts white vinegar and alcohol irrigations. If it is irritated, use equal parts white vinegar and water. P. S. To keep wax softened and easy to remove, use several drops of baby oil once every 2 weeks.

I have found that plain old mineral oil in the external canal with a cotton ball plug overnight seems to work with body heat to liquify the wax making it easier to reach and clean out with a q-tip after showering. Do this for 7 nights in a row or until the q-tip comes clean in the morning after showering.

Saw this on Oprah yesterday with Dr. Oz, and this is also what I do for my ear wax: Put in a drop of mineral oil, it will melt the wax.

It's best to use some hydrogen peroxide. You can buy this cheap is any medical section of a store. Pour a little into the cap and tilt your head to the side, pour it in, and hold it and let it bubble all the junk out. Then just wipe your ear out with some tissue. This works very well.

Don't use bleach... it will cause the CD to tighten... use plain old rubbing alcohol and a cotton ball and clean thoroughly !!! Make sure it's dry before putting it into the player. After all, who wants a tight Fergie ??? BTW, this is my first answer as a level 7 !!!

I use a metal hairpin (the sturdy ones). It works very well. Just make sure you have a tight grip on it.
