I got hired at American Eagle (YES!), and the manager told me taht the schedules had already been printed for this week, so they are going to call me later in the week to let me know when my orientation (4 hours) is. I was wondering, 1) are they FOR SURE going to call me? or should i call them? and 2) what should i expect at this orientation? I meet the staff and learn the methods?

One if you are going for orientation you got the job
Next what to expect, this is where you fill out all your paperwork W-2's insurance etc, and get an overview of the company, what they expect from you, who to go to if you should have a problem, what their policy's are concerning sick, late, diversity etc. maybe a tour and introduce you to whom you will be working with and yes you get paid for this

If they are scheduling you for an orientation, I'd say you definitely have the job. What to expect -- probably to write your name, address, phone number and SS# about 35 times. There generally are a lot of forms to fill out. They will also tell you company policies and practices and expectations for you as an employee. There might also be some general training (i.e. cash register).
