I also have a friend who has a commercial CO2 LASER wood engraving/cutting system, but I can't remember the brand -- I'll ask him and edit this answer, later.

Actually, check eBay. Engineering mates of mine often get high tech equipment from eBay (even cast offs from NASA).

There are laser cutting and engraving systems, etc there just refine your search terms.
