I have heard yes i do , but im not sure.( i have a dell demensio E310 desktop) Vista looks great, am i being fooled? What kinds of programs and applications come with? Microsoft has a program called Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor that they suggest you download. It looks over your computer and gives you the exact answer.

Beware your printers, scanners, and similar peripherals may have to be replaced, and you might need to buy new versions of some of your favorite software, and you surely need more memory because VISTA consumes an incredible amount. If you have a home network you will have to add networking programs to any XP computers so VISTA can network with them.

I would wait a minimum of 3 years for microsoft to work the bugs out of it before upgrading, As a microsoft beta tester I can tell you for certain that the o/s is so full of holes it makes swiss cheese jealous!
