. . .has some of the most heartless individuals in existence?

One of you managed to get all prayer requests for Debra M deleted, including her husband's and the one that I posted for her. I hope the person responsible is very pleased with themselves. I really have to wonder how you're going to react when what goes round, comes round and lands on your doorstep.

Please, whoever you are, feel free to have this question deleted, too. It won't matter to me because at this point, I am asking myself if this forum is anywhere that I want to be.

It's been my experience that which you "do unto others" has a very interesting habit of being done unto you. There may come a day when the person responsible for having these posts deleted is in serious need of someone to care and help. . .and the good Lord may see fit not to provide that listening heart.

There's nothing "eastern" or "Buddhist" about that. It's based on 53 long, hard years of living and observation.

Ya know, Godless, your opinion and $1.25 will buy a nice cup of coffee at the local 7-11.

I *am* very glad that prayer and good energy is still being sent up on Debra's behalf. I'll happily take the Violation Notice hit for this and the previous posts if it means that she's kept in prayers and thoughts.

there are truly some 'freaks' out there...but, take hope...they can delete any question and/or answer they like, but they can't delete the prayers and the good wishes from debra's supporters...you can't delete love-if you divide it, it just expands and grows...

That is terrible. Maybe the deletions will backfire on it's oppressors. It seems like a lot more people are interested in Debra M's situation, and will pray or think about her. I don't understand why it would be deleted. It is a question about a prayer request that was posted in the religion and spirituality forum. Some of the naysayers here are trying to prove it wrong by relating religious questions to a different forum, but it doesn't make sense.

Please don't leave because of the those heartless few. You would be missed and your valuable input lost. I've learned to adapt to the deletion of questions and answers, by ensuring I add a question(one that I'm sure won't be deleted by YA! Like if I wanted a prayer said for someone, I'd ask that question, followed by some background into the situation, and then would ask a general question like: How has prayer affected you or someone you know for the better?

Anyways, I didn't get to read your posts on her or her situation, but I will be praying for Debra M. I'll also be praying for the heartless few who keep having your Debra M. questions deleted, because they really need a lot of prayers, and help, too!

God bless, and have a good day.

It is very sad, and there are indeed heartless individuals, here and elsewhere.

"Godless" says that there are many that don't share the Christians' worldview. Well, I am one of them, Godless. Although I did not answer Debra M's husband's question for a prayer request, I gave him a star to pass it on to those on my friend's list who *are* of that worldview. That's the right thing to do, Godless. Contribute if you wish, in any manner you can, or just move along.

And "Kallenart", no this is not a chat forum. This is a Q&A. You are correct. Now that we know that you can read and comprehend the Y!A Guidelines, try and consider this: this was not some random prayer request; it was about a forum regular who is in a COMA! Some people need to get a frickin grip and find some compassion within themselves.

I am so sorry to hear about this, i didnt know about Debra until today when i was reading the posts. I have to say "Spike" said it very well, you can delete a question or answer but you cant delete prayers. No prayer that goes to the father returns to us void, Praise God for that. I have had some concerns myself about what ive been reading and the guidlines of yahoo, makes me wonder. I will pass the prayer request on to my sisters in Christ.

Heartless, er, Godless:
ordinarily I agree with your posts but what you've written is callous and just plain wrong.
Debra M. has been nothing but kind to everyone here and there are people here who care about her. You're wrong to say it doesn't involve anyone here, her husband reached out for support from those here who cared to provide it.
I'm an atheist and I don't believe in prayer. But it's been medically proven that coma patients have responded to being spoken to, and were it not for the feckwits involved in deleting our well wishes, her husband might have chosen to share those messages with her.
We know she cared for the opinions of many people here, and would be touched by the sentiment.

It's truly sad that anyone should prioritize meaningless, arbitrary rules over humanity in such a
situation as this.

The banner has been raised and it's too late to stop the prayers for Debra from being a united cry for mercy and healing. If this is deleted, just post again, as I plan to do.

Wow. What's up with that??? It's interesting how some elements point the finger at Christians as being "intolerant" and "narrow minded." But I think the people who offered to keep Debra in their prayers will.
Peace

It is an outright shame that these posts are being deleted!
I can't imagine who would do such a hateful thing.

I wondered if all of a sudden the YAHOO watchdogs were just automatically deleting anything like that.

Anyway, they can delete the posts, but they can't delete the prayers or the well wishers.

Wolfblayde, I missed the Debra M request, but I heard about it along the line today, and also heard that there was an enormous amount of responses to that request. I don't know the exact nature of what is ailing her, since I missed that post, and it was deleted, but I have lit a candle for her this afternoon. I do hope that you will hold on to knowing that for one mean spirited individual, there are dozens of loving, compassionate, people here who wish you, Debra, and everyone else well..... I do like to think that they outweigh the occasional @$$hole..... I personally consider prayer requests to be appropriate to the R&S forum, and think that people should lighten up about that, it builds a community, gives people a chance to stop in thier day and think about someone else, and looking over other people's prayers in R&S offers insight on how people of different faiths go about praying and addressing things, we are here to learn about other religions and spiritual paths, as well as our own, and I think that looking at other people's prayers at such a time one can learn alot, while such an activity is innapropriate in any other part of answers, this is Religion and Spirituality, and such an activity allows others to learn about the other poster's spirituality, and learn how others go about composing prayers, and what thier thoughts are on the power of prayer. With all the bashing that goes on around here, I think it is nice when people of different faiths (also the occasional athiest will stop in, and say that they don't pray, but are still willing to offer good wishes and support ) are willing to put that away for awhile, to think about someone else together..... People who don't want to participate don't need to, they can just go on to the next question, they don't have to be nasty about it...

I'm disgusted that people are reporting the questions re. Debra. It's like a punch in the gut for those who ask for positive and healing thoughts for her. I love Debra. I am an agnostic atheist and I pray to a different spirit than you but please know that Debbie is in all my prayers.

Stay with us, Wolfe! Don't allow one or two ignoramuses to spoil the lot of us!

In honor of Debra I asked, as she did several times, if I had offended anyone with my questions or answers. It was deleted, too. I dont know what to say.
