Does it sound like it. I was sweating, weak, and I vomited after eating something at a resturaunt that I had never tried before. And I felt sick the day after I ate there. I am also 14 years old

I also had a kind-of bad stomach ache that got worse when I ate and drank. The weird thing is my mom ate it, I only had a little of the sauce and I was the one that got sick though

When I had food poisoning symptoms were similar to a very bad stomach virus. Fever, chills, diarrhea, vomiting, body aches. Mine lasted about 48 hours. Hope you feel better.

Food borne illnesses are hard to pin point because the onset can be anywhere from 8 - 72 hours after ingesting the tainted food. It may not have been the restaurant but rather any of the meals prior to that. If your symptoms started within a few hours of the meal it is mostly likely not that meal that caused it. The majority of food borne illness comes from our own homes due to improper refrigeration, cross contamination while preparing/storing food, improper sanitation of food storage/prep areas. You're symptoms certainly match the majority of the bacterial illnesses. Depending on the bacteria they range from low grade fever and nausea to high fever and bloody diarrhea. Be careful to avoid dehydration (drink fluids even if you don't want to). If your symptoms do not subside or get worse in the next 72 hours then consult your doctor. Sometimes antibiotics are needed depending on which bacteria you were exposed to.

The others gave you a good array of symptoms. Food borne illness typically occurs 24-48 hours after ingestion so you sound like a candidate. You should contact were ever you ate and report it.

Some symptoms are if you feel very sick. If you have a high fever. You will know that you have it if you throw up every time you eat food or drink anything.

You'd know it if you had it.
At your age sometimes just trying a new/strange food will upset the stomach.
Or it could have been a touch of the stomach flu.
Your short time being ill and symptoms don;t match food poisoning.

Feel better soon

Any combination of the following
Diarrhea
Fever
Headache
Vomiting

Not a fun experience, I have had it twice in my life.

The severity will depend on how bad the poisoning is. Usually will go away in about a day.
