vibes, but don't some people make use of this positive flow, by rowing with the current, while others, may spend a long time rowing against the current, I don't think you have to be religious to see this.

because I love your analogy there with the current
makes more sense to go with the flow and not waste energy fighting it

Yes you are right..
This is not called Karma actually.. It is called Guna or Modes of Nature...
There are 3 such currents mentioned ...Current of Goodness, passion and Ignorance…
Current of Goodness causes what you mention as positive thinking. Passion causes passionate thinking and Ignorance causes Negative thinking…
Bhagavad Gita mentions how each person is bound and acting as if these currents are actually controlling him... These are like attributes of nature.. it does not depend on religious stamping …

I believe that if u have positive thoughts and hang around positive people that positive things happen and I think that if u have negative thoughts and hang around negative people negative things happen. So I do believe in karma.
