Since you don't feel that you are ready - don't jump into dating just because "everyone else is". Not only won't you enjoy yourself, but THEN you might get a reputation as a girl that's not worth dating...
The only people who would "make fun" of you are immature morons - and who cares what they think?
You'll know when the time is right - perhaps you just haven't met anyone who is really worth dating... :)

I didnt date till after graduation from High School. I think because I lived in the projects - I wasnt accepted too well. But - I met this quiet, not so cute guy. And we got married. And now this ugly little thing brings home almost $100,00 a year. I have a new car/suv every 3 years. I live in a home worth $345,000. He was worth giving up the childhood dating stuff for. We are happy. And in love. And have 2 kids!
Good things come to those who wait.

i'm sure not EVERYONE in your school has a boyfriend/girlfriend, it just seems that way. it's okay to not be interested in being in a relationship too. school/friends/work/family/etc. take up enough time as it is. also, it's totally okay to be shy, and if people are stupid enough to make fun of you for that or not date you because of that, then they aren't really worth your time anyway.

don`t worry about it once you out of school you probably wont ever even see half the people you went to school with ever again and if a older person would make fun of you then their not worth being with anyway

don't date till you're ready...things will just be awkward and yoiu'll feel uncomfortable. you'll know when you want to go out with someone, and onl then should you act upon it. and besides, i bet there are a lot fewer couples in your h.s. than you think - it always seems like a worse situation when you're overthinking it.
