He died. He wasn't seen doing anything on Sunday. He was executed, he martyred himself, and the resurrection is just part of the fairytale.
Death is permanent.

The Bible speaks of different kinds of death.
Physical death is the least weighty.
The Bible teaches that men are dead in their sins.
What that means is they are cut off from the only source of Spiritual Life in the universe, namely God.
Jesus died to restore men to spiritual life by dying their death for them on the cross.
When Jesus died He suffered infinitely because He is an eternal Spirit. That is why He was able to suffer for all sins for all time. Time is contained in eternity. There is a temporal realm and there is an eternal realm.
When men die in a state of spiritual death, they enter into a fixed state. If they are spiritually alive they enter into eternal life. If they leave this life in a state of spiritual deadness, they remain that way awaiting the Final Judgment.
At the Final Judgment all who ever lived will be resurrected in eternal, indestructible spirit bodies.
Those who are not written in the Lamb's Book of Life because of having put their faith in Christ will face the Second Death. The Second Death is the lake of Fire and Brimstone. There they will suffer eternal punishment for their sin and rebellion against God.
Because God is perfectly just, whatever men would have suffered has already been suffered by Christ.
This leaves you with making a decision. Do you want Christ's sacrifice to pay the price of your redemption, or do you want to try to pay it off yourself in the lake of Fire?
Choose wisely. Repent and believe the Gospel.

Death is separation of your spirit from your body. It is temporary until the resurrection when your spirit takes up your perfected and restored body.
The sacrifice most people miss is the one in the garden of Gethsemane just before the crucifixion where Christ asked the cup to pass from him, that he might not drink it, meaning he did not want to suffer and pay for our sins, but he did do it because he submitted himself to God, the Father's will. As he was suffering in the Garden he sweat great drops of blood. Later this suffering returned on the cross and he gave his life. The whole law of Moses and the sacrificing of animals and the sprinkling of the blood of the sacrificial lamb or ram was pointing to the sacrifice Christ would make, last of all for us.

Jesus died & was dead three days, before he was resurrected to spirit life.
He actually is the answer to death. Though death is permanent for some, he is the hope for some to resurrected if they put faith in Him, and the one whom sent him to the earth, his father. (John 17:3) He died for us, so that we may have forgivness of our sins & everlasting life in a new, paradise earth.
Life on this earth as we know it is temporary, and everything attached to it. Death will be a thing of the past. (Revelation 21:3, 4)
For now, death is like deep sleep. We are conscious of nothing in death. (Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10)

Actually Christ was Crusified on thursday, friday was considered to be as sacred as the Sabbath being the High day (or something like that.)
Death is not permanent it is a temporary state in which we all must go in. Christs resurrection is literal. We all wait for the day we can be resurrected also.

Life is impermanent. Death is simply the lack of an existence, usually after structure of your body has disintegrated and there is no way to continue an awareness. But from a philosophical standpoint, a small part of you can exist in the thoughts and memories of other people. Does this answer your question?
Value life while you can. It's a miracle beyond compare.

What do you mean the only sacrifice? His death has given us eternal life!
Now you better just hope and pray he has mercy on your soul.
Unless a man is born again he cannot inter into heaven. That means asking Jesus into your heart and to be your savior, and accepting salvation as a gift.

Death is the end result of all human life due to sin.
Jesus conquered death by conquering sin.
Though the body dies, the spirit lives eternal.
