Right wing theocon republicans.
Well even though there is no Biblical reference of such an event. The myth of it involves the rightous being wisked away before the Tribulation. This brings to mind that these people actually beleive that God can not see into the dark place that is their true heart. That God does not know their sin!!!! They think that they can lie loud enough and long enough for their brothers and sisters to believe their salvation, and God would not know the difference. I would suggest a plan B.

Esther your interpretation is yours and I respect that, but you miss my true point if the Rapture is going to happen what does people think will make them worthy. There is a big difference in professing faith, and having faith. Those who have faith you can see evidence in their actions and ways. You can hear it in the kind compassion of their words.

I have to say that your first three answers all cracked me up...especially the last one.
I really like this question, because it will hopefully make some people think...the ones who are capable of actual thinking for themselves that is!

I wouldn't be so quick to judge the heart of another until you get your own cleaned up.
It is God who extends the hope of salvation.
I have been a student of the Bible over 30 years and am thoroughly convinced it is Biblical.
However it is not the last page in the Book.
There are much weightier things than this coming.
After the Rapture comes the judgment of God on Antichrist's Kingdom and all who have joined in league with him.
Following that judgment the god of this present age, Satan, who deceives the whole world will be cast out and bound for a thousand years and a reign of unprecedented peace and harmony will come as Jesus the Messiah rules the earth from Jerusalem with His appointed princes.
It is this that I look forward to with most earnest expectation.

Excuse me, but you are mistaken. The bible teaches that we will be taken off the earth to meet Jesus "in the air". In the book of Revelation, Jesus promises the church of Philadelphia that, because they have kept His word, they will be kept from the coming tribulation.

So you are incorrect in this assumption.
