Wow this whole thing is just so sad...all the blaming, name calling, judging. Why can't everyone just understand that each individual person is each individual person, and whether or not they're an atheist or a christian they may or may not have peace in their hearts. There have been plenty of tormented Christians...plenty of tormented atheists, and vice versa. WHERE one gets their morals is not what's important, it's whether or not one has morality. Atheists don't have to believe in God to be peaceful. And you cannot prove there is a God, no matter how headstrong you are.

If you don't accept people for who they are, and love them for who they are, then I'm afraid you'll never have peace in YOUR heart, my friend.

But it's a real good way to piss everyone off.

That is amazing... That YOU will prove there is a God, that YOU will do what the greatest theologians, thinkers and philosophers have been unable to do throughout hundreds of generations over thousands of years.

And of course, you intend to prove not just that God exists, but that YOUR god, and no others, exists. Good for you! You will become famous beyond imagination...

One problem: Athiests, whether they have peace in their hearts or not, do not have to prove anything to you or to anyone else. And I would speculate at least as large a percentage of atheists have peace in their hearts as Christians and other theists who feel unfulfilled if they cannot show others how they are right and the others are wrong.

Heck, I'd be happy with just a little sound evidence. Could ya' come up with just a little.

OK, how about a sound argument, how about that? Come on, you'all have had a couple of thousand years to work one up. Just one, that's all I'm asking for.

I do have peace in my heart, and all kidding aside, I hope you do as well. Peace and good fortune till tomorrow. My wife and kids are coming home so I need to go tend to that peace of heart right now.

My heart is peaceful, for the moment.

Now where is your proof?

If a Christian feels glum, does that mean no god exists? Anecdotal accounts are not considered evidence. Even in medical studies, people are influenced by the placebo effect.

If you could prove that there's a god, we wouldn't be having this debate now would we. And BTW, most Atheists do have peace in our hearts, we're trying to spread that around to these so called religious people who do nothing but hate.

No it's not fair. The heart is nothing but a blood pump. For me to literally have peace in my heart I'd have to be dead! I will say you've mastered the art of Christian-speak -- twisting language to mean something other than what you say.

You'll never believe an atheist has peace in their heart any more than an atheist will ever believe you have proof of god.

There is no way to prove God exists. I believe in God but there is NO way to prove his existence.

And Atheists are just as apt to have peace in their hearts as believers.

It's simply a point of view. "Fairness" has nothing to do with it. If I could prove to you peace in my "heart" then all it would prove is that there's "peace in my heart".

My heart is an organ that circulates blood. My feelings are actually thoughts in my brain. I can't prove my heart is peaceful. My mind is though.
