Your question didn't sound critical at all. It's a very valid question. First thing is this; No Christian should claim to know the age of the earth from the bible. God created Adam then Eve, but first He spent time creating the earth. In the bible we are told that one day is as a thousands years and vise/versa to the Lord. So between the creation of man and the fall of man, we really have no idea how much time passed. It just doesn't say. However, I will tell you this, the book of Genesis was written over 4,000 years ago. If you look at the account of creation from that book, then you do a comparrison to the "big bang theory" you will find it is very similar. Which is funny since Moses (the author of Genesis) was not versed in science. Another aspect you should look into is the beliefs of the egyptions compared to the "Law of God", Moses was raised by Egyptions but he didn't include any of that in the "law." Another point to consider is this; In the law of God, there are many instructions concerning the utinsels and cooking pots, the things to do if this or that happen. These instructions protected the Hebrews from bacteria that no man even knew existed untill 60 years ago! But God told the Hebrews to throw away any cracked pot that was used to cook meat with. Isn't that something? Meat in crack, ecoli, and other stuff I don't know how to spell. It's amazing how many diseases the Hebrews never got because they followed this law, that was supposedly made up by man? Something to consider anyway.

>> Ancient Eqyptians and Incas etc were present on Earth before the time God
What evidence? The earliest Incans are apparently dated after Christ, and most of the Egyptian numbers before Christ are speculative. The Old Testament also has its own dating of some of Egyptian history.

This is very great for me to hear you ask such awesome questions. I am a young Christian, but I will help you out the best that I can. Before God created the Earth, there was nothing but God. God created everything. He did not create us out of a need, but He created us for His glory. I believe, and I hope I am not too far off on this, that the Bible tells us that the Earth is around 6,000 years old, based on historical evidences. I do know that the flooding of the Earth with Noah and his ark was about 4,300 years ago. I have also heard from some recent studies that dinosaur tissue has been discovered, disproving the idea that dinosaurs were around millions of years ago. I know that it can be very difficult to decipher fact from fiction when so many different religions make different claims, but I will say that Christianity is not much of a religion at all. It is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is about trusting God to lead you according to His will, because God has a plan for everybody, but He also gave us the gift of free will, and the choice to refuse Him. I would strongly urge that you talk to God, and ask Him to come into your life, and into your heart. Starting a relationship with Christ has absolutely changed my life. I grew up in a Christian household, but until I really opened up and allowed God to be the center of my life, I was still a confused person searching for something to fill that hole in my life. I would be happy to talk more with you...just let me know

How can there be people on the earth if the earth had not yet been created? There is nothing -- absolutely nothing -- in the Bible that states when, historically, the earth was created OR precisely when humans began to inhabit it. Such questions are the object of the sciences which offer suggestions and some scientific proof for the length of years that the earth has existed or for how long humans have been around, etc.
As I've mentioned elsewhere, the Bible is a series of books about God and faith for a people who believed and had faith. It is NOT a science text book nor a history book for historians. I look to the scientists to tell me, from their examinations and studies, how old the earth is, when dinosaurs inhabited it, when the first real humans came to people it. But I look to the Bible to tell me who made the earth and human beings, how we can relate to one-another, how we are supposed to live as children of the Creator-God.
The Bible is a series of books about faith for people of faith. It is not a series of scientific or historical text books, and the Bible cannot be faulted for not being such text books. That is not its purpose.

The Bible has been translated into English, and has lost some of the meaning of the creation story in Genesis. I don't believe anyone really knows the age of the earth, and I don't believe the Bible says that the earth is 6,000 years old.
The attached link is to a really good site, dealing with the ancient texts and science.

I'm Catholic, and the church teaches that science has a different purpose, such as studying evolution and the age of the earth (4 billions years). While, the Church's role is to carry on Christ's mission, which is to save people from their sins, through the seven sacraments and such. I personally believe that God used evolution and that the "Garden of Eden" is a metaphor for the easier "hunter-gatherer" lifestyle before man transitioned to farming (neolithic revoluton) because of sin around 10,000 years ago.

read the Bible, it is the truth, & it will give u all the answers u need. if u read it & still have more questions, then juss kno that the answers 2 those questions God did not want u 2 kno until u get 2 Heaven (if u believe in Jesus as ur Savior) i kno u probably want 2 kno those answers anyway, & I understand that, but God is all powerful, & He knos everything, so juss trust in Him. also, there is no TRUE evidence 2 anything that contradicts the Bible.

There is no reason to believe that the earth is of a certain age. We know that God created the earth. We know that his ways are not our ways. We cannot perceive how he created the earth but just that he did and that he declared that it is good.
