My cat gave birth to 4 kittens on June 2nd. There are 2 boys are 2 girls. One of the kittens is meowing very loudly pretty often and when he is awake a white fluid comes out of his mouth. He's breathing kind of weird and he sounds raspy. I'm not sure when he last nursed, but he does sleep. I sort of think the white fluid coming out of him is his mom's milk that maybe he swallowed too much of, but I really don't know. I'm worried that he may have something wrong with him and I don't want him to make the other kittens sick. Please help!!

I think your best bet would be to take all four kittens and Mommy to the vet - only they can tell you for sure what it is. It could be milk, it could be something else.

His loud meowing may be nothing at all, other than him being a vocal kitten.

You might want to see if he is the "runt" of the litter - is he smaller than the other kittens? Often times runts have more health problems than the rest of the litter, but "runts" usually occur in large litters.

But like I said, take him to the vet if he doesn't improve in the next day or so... definitely better safe than sorry, especially concerning the life of a kitten.

This is a medical emergency. Good to keep this kitten away from the others. Keep it warm on a heating pad. It sounds like pneumonia. Has someone else put food or liquid into it's mouth. They do not swallow too much of mother's milk.

He may be crying because he is not getting enough food. Perhaps he has a malabsorption problem. This cannot be fixed. Make him comfortable for now.

Please have your mama cat spayed as soon as possible.

Nothing unusual. Often times kittens will drool out the milk while they grow a little older after being newborn. Diluting milk will help.

you should take mom and kittens to the vets.
Might have a cleft pallet. And if so usually treatment is put to sleep but if it isn't put to sleep tehy will suffer
if it's not a cleft pallet then there is something wrong and tehy need to see a vet.
