I heard this on t.v. last night and would like to understand it.

Islam is a beautiful religion and very peaceful. I am not muslim, but my small understanding of it makes me feel at peace with believing in God. I may not believe everything taught at the Christian churches and I may not believe everything in the Koran, but I believe in God, and being open to other religions aside from Christianity helped me feel this way.

Some call it such because it is woven into the very fabric of their lives. Islam is like the "air" or life itself for them... they live and breathe it... that is most of them who serve with wisdom, altruism and compassion. There are those who use it as a pitiful excuse for their hate agenda.
Just my opinion from a Buddhist perspective.

I has become the trend lately to say because a religion represents "truth" it can longer be refered to as "religion" because it implies that it is something that can be only verified by faith. Christians are doing it too.

I don't know what you were watching, but it is completely inaccurate. Islam is a beautiful, wonderful, peaceful religion and way of life. Please be careful of media propaganda. There is an extreme bias in reporting these days.

Islam is a religion, but it is a FALSE religion, created by a false prophet who claimed "Allah" was God.
'Allah' is the pagan moon god from the wilderness of Sinai, which Muhammad traveled through in his journeys. He changed the original word he used for his 'god' after almost being stoned to death in the first 4 cities he tried speaking his Islamic lies. He did this because the people in the region already worshiped this moon god 'Allah', and that is where THEIR(muslims) false god comes from.
