And why are so many people so hot for a driver who doesn't seem to stand out except for a name? It sounds like Danica Patrick to me.

Well, he has won quite a few races. He seems to do the best at restrictor plate tracks like Taladega and Daytona. He is a lot better than most drivers, but he is not in the top ten. We'll see how good he really is now that he's with a winning team.

again you don't know much about nascar he is 4th or 5th in wins since he came up from Busch.that is not too bad plus also wining Busch championship, what have you done , i don't see your name anywhere.it is people like you with big mouths but can't back it up.how many laps would you last. any one who is in it for years has some talent, some never get real good cars and some just have a lot of bad luck.

Hmmm yanno, being able to admit a driver has talent and success whether you like them or not, shows a person is a true fan of the sport. You seem to have failed that test. All I can say is you need to pay more attention to statistics and the races as a whole, then you'll find your answer.

hey dumb@$$, he has 17 Cup wins since moving to the Nextel Cup series in 2000. Only Gordon (30), Johnson (27) and Tony Stewart (26) have won more races during that time.

17 wins since 2000 puts him 4th behind, Gordon, Stewart, and Johnson, not bad company to be with. Also has 2 Busch series championships. So i would say there are a lot of drivers worse than him.

If everyone is interested in what Dale Earnhardt Jr has or has not done, take some time and go look up stuff or has everyone forgotten how to do that?

Put up similar numbers to Matt Kenseth, it's just that Kenseth's father wasn't a legend that he has to be compared to every day.

17 wins to start with. That is no easy trick in NASCAR.
