Has he been in the kennels recently? If so, call them immediately and they might give you standard pills to treat him free of charge.
Other from that I'd get him down the vets asap
Good luck, hope he gets better soon

Kennel cough can be either dry or wet. With dry dogs have a harsh hacking cough that seems more apparent after exercise, with the wet kind, they produce mucus both from the nose and also by coughing it up.
Take your dog to the vet and they will give him antibiotics which will clear up the infection, because that's what kennel cough is, an infection of the upper respiratory tract. In an normally healthy adult dog it isn't much of a problem, but it can be serious with very young puppies and old dogs.

I had 2 foster dogs since last Tuesday that show no symptoms of kennel cough, yet yesterday my 2 dogs started coughing. I called the vet and she said as long as they are still acting normal and not larthargic it will probably go away on it's own. But if they start having discharge from their eyes or nose or coughing up anything other than clear stuff -- she wants to know about it. So maybe a call to your vet would be good. I just talked to my vet about it 20 minutes ago.

I would take him to the vets this is usually not a sign of kennel cough sounds like possibly upper respitory infection and may need other medications.
Or at least call the vet about this. I personally have never heard anything with nose with kennel coigh

According to any vet certified website, (you can look it up on Washington State University's vet website), a dry, hacking cough is normal. However, any type of vicous fluid coming out of the nose is not good. It's not bad, but you should definitely think about taking him into the vet. We recently got a puppy with kennel cough. Hers lasted about 10 days so we were lucky. GOOD LUCK!

Yep. That just part of Kennel Cough. IT's just like you or me having a common cold. If he starts coughing you can give him some Robitussian (Yes, the stuff you would take) It will run it's course and he will be better!!

This is actually more a sign of distemper, I'm assuming you have had the kennel cough diagnosed at the vets? even if you have and this symptom has only just appeared, phone your vet explain the symptoms and see what he/she says.
