Priceline is great! When you go to name you own price you put in the # of stars you want the hotel to have and the general location you want to stay in... you can specify an area of town you want to stay in (ie. downtown)... then you put in the price you want to pay! If you doing it last minute you can got really low for a 4 or 5 star hotel!!
I got a 4 star hotel that is normally $150 a night for $45 a night!
I IS GREAT! Put in you want a 5 star hotel for $50 a night and you will most likely get is... esp. if you do it kind of last minute!
My mom's boyfriend get 5 star hotels for $50 there all the time.
The only part you might not like is you have to put in you CC# before you search so if they accept your offer it charges you and there are no refunds.
But any 5 star hotel will be nice so if your flexable do it!

No, in time I learned I could deal direct and save as much or more. I do this with Hotels, Rental cars, Airlines and even Helicopter rides for places I go.
Many times when I going somewhere for a week or more I ask for weely rates or look for an Apartment/Condo/Cabin that is furnished.
